The other day, I told you about the guy who married his mobile phone at the Little Vegas Chapel. He’s the husband. The phone is the wife.
I just found out a woman married herself at that same chapel on the same day.
Mike Kelley, who runs the chapel, says the phone-marrying guy was the first person who has married an inanimate object there.
But that same day, a woman married herself in a private ceremony. She was the only attendee. She was very sincere about the whole thing.
If this were the 1990s, you would expect Kelley’s day at the chapel to be turned into a little romcom movie. Sad Situation
I used to be a volunteer firefighter in North Dakota, Wisconsin and Montana and this case frightens me.
From Fire Rescue 1: Wharton County volunteer firefighter Adraylle Watson was injured on a call last week; but the department’s lack of medical insurance has left him and his family struggling.
Watson has been hospitalized with carbon monoxide poisoning for more than a week after responding to a fire last week.
“Upon going up, we were instructed we didn’t need no breathing apparatus on, that the fire was pretty much out,” Watson told FOX. The last thing he remembers is running out of breath and leaving the incident.
The Glen Flora Fire Department cancelled their extra insurance policy in 2014 due to budget concerns; which has left Watson without medical insurance coverage for his injuries and loss of income from not being able to report to his full-time job.
“Not once were we ever informed, even when we got on the truck and made the few miles trip from Glen Flora to Wharton … we were not ever instructed that there was no insurance for us,” Watson said.

Say No To Puerto Rico Bailout
It's time to let Puerto Rico gain it's independence from the United States instead of being bailed out.

The White House and Republican and Democratic leaders in Congress had warned that without help from Washington, Puerto Rico would descend into economic chaos and a possible humanitarian crisis.
Puerto Rico is in a decade-long recession and has $70 billion in debt. Thousands have fled the island and moved to the U.S. mainland as businesses have closed, schools have struggled with limited electricity and hospitals have asked for cash payment in advance for some medication.

Just send them on their merry way and a give them a hearty good luck because we don't need Puerto Rico as a state or territory under any scenario.

What Saddens Me About The Abortion Ruling For Pro-Choice
What is sad that these pro-choice killer of babies are celebratin their victory in the Supreme Court.
Why?
Anytime a woman gets an abortion, that is to be celebrated?

Why Obama Is A POS President

Senate Democrats blocked a spending bill that includes $1.1 billion to combat the Zika virus—saying the measure unreasonably excludes Planned Parenthood Federation of America from money for a public health crisis that impacts pregnant women.
The Senate voted 52-48 to advance the measure, but 60 votes were needed to clear a procedural hurdle. Lawmakers have been wrangling over the Zika funding–how much and how to pay for it–since President Barack Obama in February asked Congress for $1.9 billion to combat the virus.
Democrats say that by excluding Planned Parenthood from funding and adding other provisions they oppose, Republicans could delay the funding well into the mosquito season and leave only a small window to act before Congress leaves Washington in mid-July for the political parties’ conventions and lawmakers’ August recess.
Since it’s such an emergency maybe the Dems should just pass the bill as-is and tell Planned Parenthood to scrap their $20 million election push and instead use that money where it’s needed to address this public health crisis (pause for laughter).

I happen to agree that the Zika Virus is a serious problem. I work with older kids/adults who have severe cognitive and physical disabilities, so I have some knowledge and expertise of what is going on.
The Zika Virus is a terrible disease and it is a costly disease. The cost of a Zika Virus victim, from birth to death, will require millions of dollars in care for the child/adult and the child/adult will need full time medical care from cradle to grave.
To give you an example of how Zika affects a child and eventually an adult, here are the symptons:
The victim will suffer from:
1. The child will not be able to walk.
2. The child will mental age won't go above a 3 year old.
3. The child will have to wear diapers for their entire life due to the fact they will never be potty trained.
4. The child will never be able to eat regular food. They will either mush for food or be tubed fed.
5. The child will be in self contained classrooms in school until their age of 21-22, depending on the school district.
6. The child/adult will never get married, have a baby, go to college but will attend sheltered workshops for their entire life.
7. The family will have to hire help to care for their child for the entirety of their life.
And the list goes on.
But it appears that the Obama administration has decided to play politics by giving money to Planned Parenthood for no reason, whatsoever.
Yes, we need to fund a cure for the Zika Virus, yes, we need to find a vaccine for Zika and we also need to fund the care and treatment of the infants, toddlers, kids and adults who are victims of Zika.
But for once, can the Obama administration just stop playing politics with potential victims of Zika. You would think so, but all Obama and his ilk is want to play politics, no matter the cause.

I was listening to "All Things Considered" on National Public Radio, a government and private donation sponsored show.
It is supposed to be a news show with competent announcers.
But apparently, that is not the case.
Today, the idiot news people still refuse to recognize that a muslim terrorist shot and killed 49 people.
A shooting that happened 16 days ago.
Where Isis took credit for the shooting.
Where the muslim terrorist said he was a muslim terrorist.
Once again, the stupidity and political correctness of NPR shines it's ugly head.
Once again, anybody who gives 1 cent to NPR and it's affiliate stations is a brain dead, knuckle dragging racist, like 99.9% of the liberals who are out there.

THREE children were seriously hurt when a rollercoaster flew off the rails and crashed at M&D's theme park on Sunday.
Five other kids and two adults were also injured after a carriage on the Tsunami ride shot off at 40mph and derailed, plunging 20 ft to the ground next to a children's ride.
Emergency crews were called to theme park at 3.37pm with one witness saying casualties were trapped in the wreckage for up to an hour.
There were believed to be nine passengers on the ride at the time of the incident.
Speaking to reporters at the scene, Chief Inspector David Bruce said police received numerous calls at 3.49pm.
He said: "Along with other emergency services we attended immediately and on arrival it became clear that a series of five gondolas connected on a train on the Tsunami ride have detached from the rails, struck the superstructure and then struck the ground.
"As a result of this accident 10 people have been injured, two adults and eight children.
“A joint investigation by Police Scotland and the Health and Safety Executive is now under way.”

As I get older and apparently wimpier, I don't like roller coasters like I used to and this has always been a fear of mine, that the cars would fly off the tracks or I fly out a seat and now I have a real reason to wanting to ride the roller coasters.

Sue Ravenscroft Brexit Soccer Style
I became a closeted soccer fan this past year when I started to watch the Premier Soccer League out of the United Kingdom. I watched when Leicester City won the title, even though they only had really 2 or 3 star players and they were going up against major teams like Manchester City and United, Arsenal and others with paid their players millions more that Leicester City.
Now today, a bigger upset happened when the Iceland National team defeated England 2-1 in the European soccer championships to reach the quarterfinals of their tournament.
England had all the stars from the Premier League while Iceland had only 2 players that in the league.
One of their coachers is a part time coach and is also a dentist in his real life job.
The goal keeper is a part time player and part time film director in Iceland.
Iceland has a population of 332,000. England has a population of 53,000,000.
There are more soccer players in Rhode Island than Iceland.
The soccer commentators said this was the greatest upset in soccer history but I am not sure it is the biggest but it hast to be up there, but it is a David vs Goliath scenario.

Such Wonderful Customer Service At The Social Security Office In Las Vegas
My daughter, who graduated from high school last month, went to Las Vegas to get her Social Security card and was treated quite horribly.
To start with, yesterday, we called the Social Security office to find out where the closest Social Security (SS) off to get the SS card.
We were told that we would have to go to the SS office in Phoenix, about a 3 to 3 1/2 hour drive or we can get permission from the Arizona SS office to go to the Las Vegas SS office, which is about a 90 minute drive.
We were told that we could go the Vegas SS office and we would need a photo ID, like a school ID, a birth certificate or anything else that prove to the SS personnel who my daughter is.
So, my daughter, who was brought to the SS office in Vegas by my wife (I should add that my ex-wife has my daughter's SS card and her birth certificate and refused to turn them over because she lost it,) and there was a moderate line there. My daughter brought her school ID and birth certificate, just what the Arizona said to bring.
After waiting for about an hour, she was called to the window to get her card but the worker at the SS window said that she was not going to give my daughter her SS card. My wife tried to answer the questions the SS worker put to my daughter but could not answer. For helping my daughter, my wife was rewarded by being kicked out of the SS office.
On top of this, there was a black woman who yelling at white people outside by calling them white ho's who were on their cell phone, which my was on. The fools at the SS office didn't do anything to this racist ho.
It would be 1 thing if this was a 1 time occurrence but sadly, it's not.
My wife and myself went to the same office to get my wife a new social security card when we got home. The male office worker started to harass my wife by asking some intrusive questions. In defense of my wife, I asked some questions to the clerk, using his owns against him when he refused to grant my wife a SS card. He then told my he felt threatened by me and that he was going to call the police and have me arrested. When he said that, I demanded to see his supervisor. Not only did the clerk get the supervisor, he also brought along a uniformed, armed security officer. The supervisor saw what was going on, dismisses\d the officer and ordered the clerk to hand over the paperwork to him and the supervisor processed my wife's paperwork and got us a new card, which we got in the mail in about 2 weeks later.
So, it seems like there a huge problem with customer service at the SS office in Las Vegas, on South Buffalo Ave.
And perhaps, some of the politicians will look into what is going on there.

Hillary Supporter Tries To Las Vegas Cop Murder Cop

The man arrested at a rally for Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump was taken into custody after he tried to disarm a police officer, the Metropolitan Police Department said.
Michael Sandford, 19, approached a uniformed Metro officer at the TI rally, 3300 Las Vegas Blvd. South, police said. “Sandford began a conversation with the officer under the pretense that he was seeking an autograph,” Metro said. Sandford then tried to disarm the officer, the department said.
“The officers assigned to the event were able to quickly take Sandford into custody with little further disruption at the venue,” Metro said.
“Custody of Sandford has since been handed over to the United States Secret Service, where he will face formal charges.”

disaster so he has more leeway to manage the state's scarce resources less than
two months Brazil hosts the Olympic Games.
The 2016 Summer Olympic Games will be held in Rio de Janeiro on Aug. 5-21.
Dornelles' office said in a statement that the decision was made because a dip in revenues from taxes and oil royalties was "stopping the state of Rio de Janeiro from honoring its commitment to the organization of the mpic and Paralympic Games."
"The financial crisis has brought several difficulties in essential public services and it could cause the total collapse of public security, health care, education, urban mobility and environmental management," the statement said.
Rio's state government is in such dire straits that two of its hospitals were taken over by the Rio de Janeiro city government to allow doctors to keep receiving their paychecks. Some police stations are so underfunded that they have asked neighbors to donate basic items like toilet paper. Public workers and retirees have suffered months-long delays in receiving their money.
Dornelles, previously the state's vice governor, became acting top executive when elected Gov. Luiz Fernando Pezao took a leave of absence to undergo cancer treatment.
Brazilian media reported Friday that Dornelles had asked the country's acting President Michel Temer for nearly $900 million in emergency funds for the state government, but a decision was not announced.
Some of the key Olympic projects depend heavily on the state government.
Along with paying for state police during the Summer Games, Rio de Janeiro state is also committed to paying for construction that will extend the metro to the Olympic Park as well as facilities to clean the waters that sailors will use during the Games.

Dornelles' office said in a statement that the decision was made because a dip in revenues from taxes and oil royalties was "stopping the state of Rio de Janeiro from honoring its commitment to the organization of the mpic and Paralympic Games."
"The financial crisis has brought several difficulties in essential public services and it could cause the total collapse of public security, health care, education, urban mobility and environmental management," the statement said.
Rio's state government is in such dire straits that two of its hospitals were taken over by the Rio de Janeiro city government to allow doctors to keep receiving their paychecks. Some police stations are so underfunded that they have asked neighbors to donate basic items like toilet paper. Public workers and retirees have suffered months-long delays in receiving their money.
Dornelles, previously the state's vice governor, became acting top executive when elected Gov. Luiz Fernando Pezao took a leave of absence to undergo cancer treatment.
Brazilian media reported Friday that Dornelles had asked the country's acting President Michel Temer for nearly $900 million in emergency funds for the state government, but a decision was not announced.
Some of the key Olympic projects depend heavily on the state government.
Along with paying for state police during the Summer Games, Rio de Janeiro state is also committed to paying for construction that will extend the metro to the Olympic Park as well as facilities to clean the waters that sailors will use during the Games.

Oprah Winfrey will release her first cookbook “Food, Health and Happiness: ‘On Point’ Recipes for Great Meals and a Better Life,” Flatiron Books told The Associated Press on Wednesday. It’s slated to come out January 3 next year.
All it took was Winfrey teaming up with Weight Watchers to get cooking on the project.
“In the past several months on Weight Watchers, I have worked with wonderful chefs to make healthier versions of my favorite meals,” Winfrey said in a statement.
“When people come to my house for lunch or dinner, the number one thing they ask is, ‘How is this so delicious and still healthy?’ So I decided to answer that question with recipes everyone can enjoy.”

I don't meet many celebrities nor do I can to meet them, but I have met Oprah 2 times.
First, I saw her jogging around a central Wisconsin lake in the early 2000's.
I also met her in the 1990's at the Milwaukee airport, where she was walking with her boyfriend to a waiting car.
Both times, she was very gracious and initiated a greeting with me. Not that I exactly knew who she was until someone told me who she was.

From Fox News: The opening to Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven," one of rock 'n' roll's best-known ballads, was played for jurors Tuesday in a case brought by the estate of a dead musician that claims it was stolen by the men credited with creating it.
A lawyer for the estate trustee of the late Randy Wolfe, also known as Randy California, claimed the British rockers lifted the passage from the instrumental tune "Taurus," recorded by his band Spirit, and infringed on the songwriter's copyright.
"This was a song that Randy California had written for the love of his life, Robin. That was her sign, Taurus," said attorney Francis Malofiy. "Little did anyone know it would fall into the hands of Jimmy Page and become the intro to 'Stairway to Heaven.'"
An attorney for guitarist Page and singer Robert Plant told the eight-person jury during opening statements in Los Angeles federal court that the chord progression in Wolfe's song is common and found in songs dating to the 1600s and that other similarities also exist.
"Do re mi appears in both songs," said attorney Peter Anderson, who also claims Wolfe's estate doesn't own the copyright to "Taurus."
Page and Plant, both with their long hair pulled back and dressed in dark gray suits and white shirts, listened quietly as the first two minutes of the song was played for the jury. Their attorney then played a piano interpretation of "Taurus" that had only a vague similarity.
Malofiy showed videos of guitar interpretations of both songs, which sounded more alike. When played simultaneously, similarities and differences could be seen and heard.
Malofiy said Wolfe's work formed the basis for the riff that made the song a hit that is still widely played.
"When you hear those first iconic notes of 'Stairway to Heaven,' it's instantly recognizable," Malofiy said....

This Is Pathetic
From the Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff: Southern Arizona ranchers who often encounter drug smugglers and other dangers have a new way to get help in emergencies: sheriff-issued radios usually reserved for police that connect them directly to 911 dispatchers.
So far 31 ranchers along the Arizona-Mexico border have taken the new handheld radios issued by the Cochise County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff Mark Dannels obtained them through private funding in an effort to improve safety along the rural areas that often lack strong cell phone coverage. He said the 2010 murder of rancher Rob Krentz led to increased security and more communication between ranchers and authorities. Authorities believe Krentz was fatally shot by drug smugglers.
The sheriff's office also has a team dedicated to patrolling ranch areas and an advisory group composed of law enforcement and ranchers.

The U.S. government needs to be protecting these ranchers (and the country) from people of all ethnicities (though not too many illegal Amish farmers from Canada have not been caught lately) but instead we apparently have a get into the County Free card.
