It's not the sentiment. It's the dismissive air in which it is often used. The "Black Lives Matter" movement never used the phrase in the sense of "other lives DON'T matter." That would be like being a "save the rainforests" activist saying "other kinds of forests suck!" That's not what they're saying at all.<br /><br />The problem is that many people feel like black lives are being treated as though they don't matter. That's it, that's all.
