Sarah Palin announced today she is resigning her governorship at the end of the month and she fuels speculation that she will run for president in 2012. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/07/03/palin-opts-run-second-term-alaska-governor/
"Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin shocked the political word Friday by announcing that she will step down at the end of the month and transfer power to Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell.
Palin made the announcement from her home in Wasilla, flanked by her husband, Todd, and family and state commissioners."
I am a fan of Palins and I would support her, but she has an uphill battle. First, the establishment of the GOP hate her because she defeated a sitting GOP governor and then by upstaging the old coot, John McCain in the 2008 campaign.
Palin is correct on the issues, is youthful, energetic and is a common person, unlike the current bunch of elitists that currently are in office.
But she will be demonized by the left and right. It already has started with David Lettermen and the Vanity Fair article, which was a sell out by the old GOP hanger's on.
So, let the demonizing begin and if anyone can beat them at their own game, it will be Sarah Palin.
Well, yah.
ReplyDeleteBut frankly, I think it will be just fine to wait until Sarah actually SAYS what she's going to do. So far, we have "higher mission."
That could mean she's going to become a missionary in East BumF^%$, Africa, too, you know...
