Soon, there will be a U.S. Senate election to fill one of the most revolting politician's seat, after he died.
Scott Brown, Republican is taking on Martha Coakley in Massachusett's senate race to replace murderer Ted Kennedy. This should be a liberal Democrat cake walk, but in the latest poll, it shows GOP Brown winning, 50-46 over Coakley. http://www.bostonherald.com/news/politics/view/20100114brown-out_poll_shows_scott_brown_trumping_martha_coakley/srvc=home&position=0
This has been a referendum on the health care bill in Congress and Coakley also has been her worst enemy.
If Brown wins or even comes within 7-10 points, look for a GOP landslide in November.
Also, look out for the SEIU army of Barney impersonators and ACORN coming to Coakley's defense.
I work with several people who are from MA and they are disgusted with Coakley for a variety of reasons. She was a DA and put innocent people in jail, is stupid and is extremely liberal. Others are tired of the Democrats. One person I talked to will vote for Coakley just because she is a Democrat- no other reason.
If Brown pulls it out, look for the wheels to come off the Obama presidency. Look for a slew of Democrats retiring and look for Harry Reid to crap in his pants. And at his age, wearing Depends may be an advantage.
This has been an interesting race -

Earlier this week, a bunch of conservative blogs linked to Brown's "money blast" site - the goal was to raise $500,000 in one day. That afternoon, they revised the goal to $750,000. Early evening they revised to $1,000,000 - ultimately they hit $1.3 Million for the day. People were in from all over the country - present company included.
I think next on the "hit-list" (if Republicans in WI can grow a set) is Russ Feingold. Those same sites that have been reporting on the Brown/Coakley race posted some videos of Feingold getting savaged at his "listening sessions" in WI. I think Feingold could become the next "high-profile" liberal target. Again, only if the WI guys can get over their defeatist attitudes.
I agree, Feingold is vunlerable if there is a conservative willing to take him on. But who would that person be?
ReplyDeleteI have read some blog reports sayig that Mark Neuman is in the wrong race- he should be challenging Feingold.
I also heard that Tommy Thompson would be an excellent canidate, but I doubt he would run.
David Clarke could run a good race, along with Paul Ryan.
Here's some SEIU Brown supporters:

I think the wheels are coming off the Obama bus.
