If anyone who visits Dog Fancier's Park, at the end of Flamingo, by the water treatment plant, you will understand what I mean when I say Clark County is watering mud.
If you take your dog to the park in the morning, before around 12 noon, you will notice that the entrances to the dog areas, especially the small dog pen, it is a muddy quagmire. The areas are more suited for pigs than dogs because the people overseeing the watering of the park over water the entire area. There are standing puddles and mud. If a homeowner did that, the folks at the water department would be angry about the over watering.
The mud attracts flies, gnats and other flying critters and it makes the dogs muddy. You would think the people at the parks department would know that, but they are government workers.
In addition, the only shaded part of the small dog park is of course, in the muddy area. Brilliant, Clark County.
You would think common sense would prevail, but I doubt it. I just hope they don't have plans on running the dogs out and renaming the park, Pig Fancier's Park.
