It is sad to report that the Las Vegas Sun has died on July 25, 2010 due to the lack of ethics.
The paper was first published on May 21, 1950 by Hank Greenspun. He was succeeded by his wife, Barbara. Brian Greenspun has since taken over the paper by being it's editor and he has surely been a disappointment to his mother and father.
On July 25, 2010, there were two conventions in town. The liberal Netroots convention at the Rio and the conservative convention was Right Online, sponsored by Americans for Prosperity was at the Venetian.
The Las Vegas Sun reported on the Netroots convention in a glowing manner, with high praise for Harry Reid.
The Las Vegas Sun refused to report anything about the Right Online convention, even though the convention gathered national and local speakers. People came from all over the country to come to the Right Online convention.
The Las Vegas Sun has been on life support due to their ethically challenged writers in the name of Jon Ralston who is both a liar and has no ethics whatsoever. He also admits he throws softball questions when he "interviews" liberals. Anjeanette Damon who is a liberal reporter and a liberal blogger who blogs about the subjects she writes about. I don't which one she is because she does a horrible job doing both the reporting and blogging. Finally, you have the limousine liberal, Brian Greenspun who is both mentally and ethically challenged These three employees are the worst journalism has to offer and are a disgrace to their profession.
However, what killed the Las Vegas Sun was the totally offensive and disgraceful writing of Delen Goldberg about this weekend's conventions. The Las Vegas Sun died with this disgraceful article. A newspaper needs to report on news, however, the Las Vegas Sun has chosen to print only liberal information while campaigning for Harry Reid and other Democrats. It no longer prints news, it regurgitates campaign statements of liberal politicians.
So, R.I.P. Las Vegas Sun. You are no a longer a true newspaper, you just operate a campaign newsletter for liberals.
Please don't call yourself a newspaper- you don't deserve the title of "newspaper".
There will be no service. Donations should be given to Las Vegas Sun Journalism Scholarship fund which will send Ralston, Damon, Goldberg and Greenspun to journalism school.
Burial will be when I use the Las Vegas Sun to pick up my dog's poop.
R.I.P Las Vegas Sun.
Waitaminute. Didn't the Las Vegas Sun cease as an entity, years ago? I thought it only lived on now as an appendage of the R-J, like Kuato in "Total Recall."
