Since the Obama/Reid/Pelosi/Berkley/Titus health care bill got slapped down yesterday, what would be the common sense way to handle the defeat.
Most people with an ounc of common sense would say, ok, we over reached, so let's start over. Include the GOP in the debate and cherry pick the best parts of Obama/Reid/Pelosi/Berkley/Titus health care fiasco, cherry pick the best of the GOP ideas and put those in a single bill.
That's what most people with just a little common sense would do.
However, the liberals won't do this because they want to shove the health care down people's throat because they want to control people's lives. The GOP won't do it because they want to embarrass Obama and the liberals.
Therefore, at the end of the day, no one will win. We will either get stuck with a health care bill no one wants except the extreme left or nothing if the GOP wins.
Yep, that's the Washington way.
