It's hard for the democrats to beat a jackass as their party mascot. But now that the Dem's are on the run in Wisconsin and Indiana, I believe Foghorn Leghorn is a perfect mascot.
First, he is a loud mouth, long winded and in th eend, doesn't say very much. Further, he enjoys picking on animals and people smaller than him but usually, in the end, he has the crap beaten out of him and loses the big fight. Finally, he usually runs aways after he is beaten. Just like Democrats of today.
So, my nomination of the new mascot ofthe Democratic Party is Foghorn Leghorn.
They could use a picture of Abraham Lincoln, who literally dove out a window to prevent a vote. Are you insulting one of our greatest presidents? Why do you hate America?
ReplyDeleteUmm, Abraham Lincoln was a Republican who freed the slaves against the Democrats protests. Further, the the Democrats have been against civil rights, even to this day. How is that war on poverty working for the Democrats these days?
ReplyDeleteDan, what you wrote is called a non sequitur. Lincoln jumped out a window when the Illinois gov't was voting to close a bank, in order to delay the vote.

I also might add, capper, Lincoln jumped out a window and rode away on horseback to a house with wood heat or no air conditioning, depending on when it happened.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, the WI. Senate Democrats walked down some stairs or rode the elevator, walked out to their cars, SUVs or hybrids with their blackberries, cell phones and lap tops. They rode in comfort for about an hour or so in their vehicle, not worry about the bumps in the road or the cold outside their car and checked into a hotel that had cable TV, a heater not using wood, and probably WI-FI. It may have even had a indoor pool. Then when they got hungry, they went to a local restaurant to eat in comfort. They are able to talk to their loved ones via the phone and perhaps skype. They had access to the Internet that gave them instant access to what was going on and they were able to communicate with their supporters via e-mail.
Just like Abraham Lincoln, right?
To compare what WI. State. Sens did to Lincoln is an insult to the highest degree to Lincoln. They are no where the man Lincoln was and in no way the man Lincoln was.
So it's the Dems fault that technology has advanced in the last 170 years.
