Apparently scum bag lawyers from Righthaven have given up on the LVRJ. Starting January 1, 2011, the LVRJ has stopped saying that their stories and pictures do not have copywrites attached to it. I suspected that the LVRJ had stopped their relationship with Righthaven over copy write infringement, and it appears that the relationship is over.

Righthaven is a group of scumbag lawyers that go after bloggers and anybody else who has a web site for violating copywrite infringements. How it worked is that the LVRJ would have an online article, said it was copywritten. Then Righthaven would troll the Internet looking for someone who used a LVRJ. Then Righthaven would purchase the copywrite and then sue the web site for $150,000 and the domain name of the web site.
So, since the first of the year, the LVRJ has ended the use of saying that their articles are not copywritten.
Since the first of the year, Righthaven has not sued anybody for using LVRJ material dated since January 1.
My guess is that the relationship between the LVRJ and Righthaven has soured, and it might be because the LVRJ has a new editor, replacing Sherman Fredricks.
But the bottom line for bloggers is don't do anything stupid, like copy and pasting a whole article and not give credit, but sometimes, that doesn't even do. Just be careful.
