From the LVRJ: UNLV political science professor Dina Titus, who lost re-election to Congress last fall and returned to teaching, is leaving the university next week.
According to documents obtained by the Review-Journal, Titus is one of 48 professors who are leaving voluntarily under a buyout plan that offered them 1.5 times their annual salary to, basically, go away.
"I decided to retire," Titus said Thursday. "I've been there 34 years. That's a long time to spend in one place."...
Titus, whose annual salary is $107,855, will be paid $161,782.50. In addition, her husband, history professor Thomas Wright, is also taking the buyout. He will be paid $212,196.

Essentially, Titus will be paid almost $269,000 for teaching 1 class in the past school year. You talk about professors ripping off UNLV. Even UNLV said, when she came back, that she wasn't qualified to be teaching when she began teaching again.
And for Titus to say that she has been there 34 years is a crock. She wasn't there last year, nor the previous 3 years or so when she was in the U.S. House. Further, she took time off when she was serving in Carson City as a Nevada Senator.
So, good riddance, Dina Titus, keep screwing the taxpayers, like you usually do, but don't let the door hit you on the way look.
But don't look for Titus to be elected to anything in Nevada. No one in their right mind would elect such a taxpayer screwing, money sucking whore as Dina Titus.
