From Michelle Malkin: The House passed the Bipartisan Crappy Meal just now…final tally 269-161. See my Twitter page for all the live updates. The return of Democrat Rep. Gabby Giffords to the floor overshadowed the otherwise unpleasant, business-as-usual on the House floor.
Interesting juxtaposition of Giffords’ return with the continued, incivil rhetoric of the Tea Party-bashing Dems, eh?

If Rep. Dr. Joe Heck voted for this bill and I am sure he did, please don't come to me for support. You just broke your biggest campaign promise. I will remember.
Update: From the LVRJ: With the House expected to vote Monday on an emergency agreement to cut spending and raise the nation's debt limit, both Reps. Joe Heck and Shelley Berkley have already voted yes.
"We will see the bill pass out of the House today and move over to the Senate and make this down payment we need to make on getting our spending under control," Heck said.
He said the new bill to permit more government borrowing while achieving a similar level of savings is similar to others he and other Republicans have voted for in recent days -- the "cut, cap and balance" plan that included votes for a constitutional amendment to balance the budget and a proposal advanced by House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio.
"The fact we have dollar-for-dollar spending cuts associated with the debt limit increase, no new taxes and real accountability measures were the three things I wanted to see and those three things are there," Heck said of the legislation.
"I certainly don't want to see our credit rating be downgraded and the cost of lending go up for everybody back in the district."
Heck argued that by averting a credit default that would occur if Congress does not raise the debt ceiling by the end of Tuesday, a measure of "stability" will be restored to the economy, encouraging businesses to consider adding jobs. http://www.lvrj.com/news/heck-leaning-yes-on-debt-bill-berkley-heller-undecided-126533553.html
Two words for Dr. Heck: Bull Sh-t.
Further, this kind of wording may fly in Washington D.C. it doesn't work here. You have been in Washington D.C. only 7 months and you already are "one of the boys" who doesn't want to piss off the leadership.
So, how much was promised for your vote, Dr. Heck?
