Defending Big 10 Champs, the University of Wisconsin-Madison (my alma mater) opens up tonight against UNLV at Camp Randall in Madison.
U.W. is a 35.5 point favorite. It's going to be tough for UNLV to cover the spread. It's going to be a warm and humid night. UNLV will be able to handle the heat but the humidity may get them. For a team that is used to less than 10% humidity, now have to play in 50+% humidity, will be difficult.
Not to mention that the farm boys of Wisconsin outweigh the Rebels by 30-40 pounds on the line.
The one good thing about UNLV is their coach, Bobby Hauck- he's an excellent coach and he probably has something up his sleeve. But since he is wearing short sleeves, there won't anything up there that will beat the Badgers or the spread.
So, my guess, even the Badgers are giving a lot of points, I would still put money on the Badgers.
So, in honor of the kickoff of the U.W. Madison football season:
