For those into cooking shows, there is a show named Iron Chef America where chefs around the world and compete against 1 of 6 chefs. For more information: http://www.foodnetwork.com/iron-chef-america/index.html
Well, they are about to chose the next Iron Chef and today was the first day of the competition and Chef Spike Mendelsohn was sent packing.
So, who do you think will win the competition? Chef Robert Irvine, Chef Anne Burrell, Michael Chiarello, Elizabeth Falkner, Alex Guarnaschelli, Chuck Hughes, Beau MacMillan, Marcus Samuelsson, or Geoffrey Zakarian. http://www.foodnetwork.com/the-next-iron-chef-rivals/package/index.html
Well, they need a woman on Iron Chef because we have not seen the first female on the show, Kat Cora for many months, so to be politically correct, they will pick a woman. So, out of the 3 women, I pick Anne Burrell.
What say you?
Burrell makes the most sense because:
ReplyDelete(1) She has the most Kitchen Stadium experience, Guarnaschelli and Falkner were challengers once, Burrell served in 24 battles as Mario Batali's sous chef.
(2) She has 2 other FN shows under her belt: Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and Worst Cooks. Of all the other chefs only Irvine can say more (the "Impossible" shows and Worst Cooks, season 2)
Anne is my hero. As long as she keeps up that fire that she brought to the Chopped competition, she's got TNIC title signed, sealed, and delivered to her personal rockin inbox. though i am in agreement with the gender rep. argument, the more important thing is, she's just one hell of a chef.
