From the LVRJ: Questions surfaced Wednesday about defense budget cuts affecting the Thunderbirds air demonstration team at Nellis Air Force Base after news out of Florida that the Navy's Blue Angels team might face cutbacks.
Speculation about cutbacks to public shows put on by the Blue Angels, the Thunderbirds and the Army's Golden Knights paratroopers swirled as the Pentagon looks for ways to trim $450 billion over the next decade.
A spokesman for the Thunderbirds, known in Air Force circles as "America's Ambassadors in Blue," responded to the story by The Associated Press at Pensacola Naval Air Station, Fla. The story, citing military analyst Loren Thompson, said it is possible that spending for the Blue Angels, the Thunderbirds and other military promotional programs could be curtailed under a larger umbrella bill as Congress and the administration look for ways to cut federal spending.
In an email response to the Review-Journal, a Thunderbirds spokesman said the demonstration team, like other Air Force programs, is not immune from budget cut consideration in light of "tough challenges to meet savings goals."

If the Thunderbirds, Blue Angels, Golden Knights and I suppose NASCAR and Indy car sponsorships, which will also be up for budget cuts, it will hurt in recruiting and show people the professionalism of the Air Force
And there only 2 people responsible for this: Crybaby Reid and Barack Obama. Reid and Obama do not like the military and they have constantly disrespected the military.- they want a smaller military and a weaker military. They are thrilled that there will be huge budget cuts because of Reid's failure of the budget cutting committee.
So, November 13, 2011 may have been the performance for the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds at Nellis AFB. and this will also cost several Las Vegans their jobs.

Dan--You clearly are speaking from complete ignorance. My son is in the Navy and Obama's VP's son is also in Afghanistan. Unlike Bush who didn't give a crap who died for his oil, Obama takes the weight of our soldiers' lives seriously. Sadly, the Congress, only some 15% of whom have even been in the military, these people are the ones who don't care about the boots on the ground--only the lobbyists from the Humvee corporations and other rich companies that like to make money off of our soldiers' backs. God forbid you ever have a child in the military. And as for Vegas and jobs, did you hear about the jobs' packages that the GOP blocked and Obama put forth? No, I guess you'd actually have to read to learn about this. You are the reason why the greedy corporate pawns in D.C. are in power and doing all they can to destroy the middle class. Wake up Dan--the other side isn't on your side--and the rich don't create jobs! Your best hope, gasp, might actually be a black man who wasn't born rich and worked his ass off to get where he is.

And if the the soldiers, mariens and airmen died for oil under Bush, then why are they dying now? Obama has increased fighting in Afghanistan, Libya, Pakistan etc. You need to be consistant.
And I would love for my son or daughter to join military.
As far as the jobs bill, it was just another fat kiss to unions and government employees which was not paid for.
