I have a friend at the school I teach at who is a hard core lefty and thinks he is following the news in Wisconsin and the recall effort against Governor Scott Walker.
Over the course of time, he went from being somewhat reasonable in his arguments to becoming a raving lunatic.
Recently, he said that Walker has cost Wisconsin 8 million jobs (the population of Wisconsin is 5 million).
He said that the economy is worse than Nevada's. Not even close.
Today, he says that Walker is the worst governor in the United States. Umm, no. California has Jerry Brown, the governor of Illinois is clueless, the governor of Minnesota shut down the government for 20+ days all because he wanted to tax the rich and the list can go on.
He said that Walker is destroying teaching jobs all over the country? Really, how. Walker hasn't done anything to our teaching jobs in Las Vegas. I'm pretty sure that teachers have nothing to worry about from Walker in Alaska or Hawaii.
And sadly, his teasing now has taken a more hostile turn.
So, I proposed a bet with him- a small dinner at McDonalds, whether Walker will be recalled from office. I think it's a pretty safe bet because Walker is already campaigning while the Democrats don't even have a candidate and I don't think they will even get enough legitimatesignatures anyways.
But when it came to take the bet, my teacher friend backed down.
So, if this is going on with one person in Las Vegas where the recall doesn't even effect him, I can't imagine what is going on in Wisconsin.
