Wisconsin: Football Capitol Of The Universe This Year?

The State of Wisconsin is having one heck of a year in football- professional and college.
The Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl early last year. They are 12-0 so far this year and they have a 17 game winning streak.
The Wisconsin Badgers are on their way back to the Rose Bowl after winning the Big 10 (12) and could have been in the hunt for the national championship had they had better coach and better luck.
And the Whitewater Warhawks are going for the NCAA Division 3 championship and have a 44 game winning streak. From the jsonline: Stop us if you've heard this before.

That will be the matchup in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl for the seventh consecutive year after Whitewater dispatched St. Thomas, 20-0, Saturday in a Division III semifinal game at Perkins Stadium.
The two-time defending national champion Warhawks boosted the longest current winning streak in NCAA football to a remarkable 44 games with their 14th victory of the season. Earlier in the day, Mount Union topped Wesley, 28-21, in the other semifinal to boost its record to 14-0 also.
Whitewater and Mount Union will play for the Division III crown at 6 p.m. Friday night in Salem, Va. In essence, it will be a rubber match for the teams, who have split the last six championship games.
"It would be almost foreign for them to not be on the other side of the field," said Warhawks quarterback Matt Blanchard, who completed 14 of 19 passes with no interceptions for 179 yards and one touchdown.
"I wouldn't want it any other way. We have both been tested."
Actually, in the four rounds of the playoffs, Whitewater has been doing all of the testing. They have been a paragon of fundamental football in those games, forcing 12 turnovers and committing none. They have been jumping ahead - this time, 17-0 at halftime - and then stifling opponents with a stout defense.
By holding the Tommies' running game in check, the Warhawks forced them to throw more often than planned, with ugly results.
