One of the biggest problems on the Las Vegas Strip are the smut peddlers who pass out stripper cards to the males who walk down the Strip. The Clark County commissioners have been trying to get rid of peddlers for a long time.
But into today's LVRJ, they hit on the solution:
Every man has his breaking point, and Elias Garcia Vicente, it would seem, has reached his.
After
five years of hustling for jobs in Las Vegas, the illegal immigrant
from Mexico's Gulf Coast is calling it quits and heading back home to
Veracruz.
Handing out girlie cards to tourists on the Strip just isn't cutting it anymore, he says.
He makes $250 a week - and that is after putting in 10 hours a day, six days a week

Ok, so whatever business is paying this illegal immigrant $250 a week after working 10 hrs a day, 6 days a week, then they need to be investigated for not paying minimum wage and over time wages. Further, ICE should pay a visit to the company to see if the company is hiring illegals.
If these 2 things are done, I am confident that the smut peddlers will quickly disappear from Las Vegas
Strip.
Or, shoot, why don't they do a sting operation by just calling the numbers in those little flyers? They're not stripper ads, they're hooker ads! It doesn't seem too difficult. Or, maybe, just legalize hooking in Clark County.
ReplyDeleteWell, technically stripper ads because prostitution is supposedly illegal in town, but you are right, they are hooker ads.
ReplyDeleteI suppose you can bust them, but many of them make more money in a weekend than you or I make in 3 months. They'll bail out and deduct it as business expense.
