Shelly Berkley Stupidity

Shelly Berkley is in trouble and it is all her fault.
She cannot blame Republicans.  She cannot blame Dean Heller.  She cannot blame The Koch Brothers.  She cannot blame Sheldon Adleson.  She is the only one to blame for her being investigated by the U.S. House Ethics Committee.
From the Las Vegas Sun: Nevada Rep. Shelley Berkley was always going to have to face some tough music on the Senate campaign trail over allegations she used her seat in Congress to push for policies and programs that benefited her family’s bottom line.
But the inquiry that stood at least a chance of being dismissed as a political witch hunt now ranks among the most serious investigations of alleged ethical offenses taking place this Congress.
The House Committee on Ethics voted unanimously Monday to appoint an investigative subcommittee, armed with full subpoena power, to determine whether Berkley violated the House’s Code of Official Conduct over matters “in which (her) husband had a financial interest.”

Berkley's argument is that she was trying to help out the UMC kidney program, which is not a problem.  But because Berkley's husband is part of the kidney's program at UMC, Berkley and her husband benefited from her voting on the bills.
The key words are "Voting On".  She could have lobbied for the help, she could have let people know ahead of time of her conflict, she could have asked the ethics committee for advice on the issue.
But in her arrogance, she chose not to do anything except hide the fact that her husband and herself benefited from the legislation that was passed.
And for that, she has no one to blame but her self.
