It's been a couple of weeks since Jon Ralston has left the Las Vegas Sun as a political writer. Ralston is considered to be an elite political writer in the State of Nevada (not by me, mind you). He writes for several papers and has a state wide TV show- Face to Face.
So, why did Ralston leave the Sun when:
The November elections in Nevada are going to be on of the closest watched in the nation.
Nevada is a swing state and is receiving a large amount of nationwide attention.
There have been several national stories including about Harry Reid and Shelly Berkley.
So, after all this, why would Ralston voluntarily leave the Sun with no animosity?
I suspect he didn't leave voluntarily or if he did, he was basically shown the door.
There have been several embarrassing stories about Harry Reid in the past several weeks. This includes the time when Reid lied about Mitt Romney taxes. The Sun refused to write anything on this story- basically spiked the story- even though it was both a local and national news. Further, Reid betrayed the Sun's position on civility and they still spiked the story. I suspect that Ralston wanted to write about this story, since this is what Ralston does but that Brian "The Coward" Greenspun refused to allow him write about it in the Sun.
Since Greenspun completely lacks any ethics in journalism, which is a shame since both his mom and dad were big time media people, he is willing to corrupt any legitimate journalism at the Las Vegas Sun.
When Greenspun spiked the Reid story, I think Ralston had enough or refused to follow Greenspun's directive about Reid and Ralston was gone.
Once again, Greenspun and the Sun have showed the complete lack of ethics in journalism and it will continue throughout this election season. They still have a few stooges left who lack ethics so they have no problem kissing Greenspun's hairy butt. Annjeanette Damon, David McGrath Schwartz and Patrick Coolican will do Greenspun's bidding and show their extreme liberal bias in their unethical reporting.
I wish we could do something, like boycott their sponsors, but they don't have any, not even in the print edition.
How pathetic is that?
