From the LVRJ: President Barack Obama will spend three days in Henderson starting
Sunday to prepare for the first presidential debate Oct. 3 against GOP
challenger Mitt Romney, an Obama campaign official confirmed Wednesday.
The
president also is scheduled Sunday to hold a public "grassroots" rally
in Las Vegas at Desert Pines High School. Doors will open at 4 p.m. The
Obama campaign will begin distributing free tickets at 9 a.m. on
Thursday at eight of its offices in Southern Nevada.http://www.lvrj.com/news/obama-to-use-henderson-as-base-for-debate-preparation-171355561.html
Regardless of the party, it's an honor to have the president at our school and I am sure the person responsible is a teacher at our school The person is a wonderful lady who is the biggest Obama supporter and is a co-chair of his national campaign.
So, sometime in the next few days, I'll probably be doing my part by putting up on our outside sign, a welcome to Desert Pines, as that is one of my jobs at school.
I just wonder if I want to go to the "rally", will the Obama people will let me in?
When Obama gets to our school, I hope he takes at the look at the neighborhood he helped destroy. The gang graffiti that is on the stone and brick walls, the houses that have been abandoned, see the look of unemployed and under employed people in the neighborhood, bordered up houses and more. Or will he just helicopter in from Nellis, land on the soccer field and give his speech and then helicopter to Lake Las Vegas?
Further, Obama is going to spend 3 days in Henderson, probably Lake Las Vegas where he stayed last time he stayed in Henderson.
3 days in Vegas on top of all those other days he's been there? Come on, he has to be having a Tiger Woods moments in Las Vegas.
