President Obama is very quick on the trigger to apologize when Muslims are insulted over the littlest thing.
But when Christians are insulted, well the idiot president is no where to be seen.
From Campus Reform.org: An atheist group at Dartmouth College is planning an event aimed at skewering the reputation of the late Mother Teresa.
The Atheists Humanists Agnostics (AHA) club sent out a campus-wide
e-mail announcing the program on Tuesday and promising a “full-out romp
against why one of the most beloved people of the century, Mother
Teresa, is as Hitchens put it… ‘a lying, thieving Albanian dwarf.’”
The e-mail says the group plans to screen an anti-Mother Teresa film, discuss Hitchens’ book, Missionary Position: Mother Teresa in Theory and Practice, and question how the public has been “conned into thinking this woman [Teresa] was good.”
The e-mail states Teresa, who is on her way to sainthood in the
Catholic church, “was not a friend of the poor,” but “was a friend of
poverty.”
The email links to a now infamous article by the late Christopher
Hitchens which attempts to debunk much of the lore that surrounds
Teresa.
The event has ignited controversy on the Ivy League campus, with
students telling Campus Reform they were upset AHA was hosting such an
event. http://www.campusreform.org/blog/?ID=4503
I guess in the intolerant liberal mind, Obama and the idiots at Dartmouth and the atheist thugs putting on the protest of Mother Teresa, it's ok to rip into Christians but dare to rip on a Muslim- you can't have that.
Mother Teresa, by herself and her organizations, have done far more good in her life time to help the poor and the sick than any atheist organization or person. after all, how many hospitals, nursing homes, food kitchens, homeless shelters etc has any atheist organization put up and ran? Maybe close to zero?
And as far as Christopher Hitchens, I'm glad he is worm and maggot food right now.
Atheist groups are among the most outspoken anti-Islamist groups, many times. I follow several of them on Facebook, and at times the irreverence even rubs me the wrong way. If Obama (or anyone else) were in the business of keeping track of those maligned by atheist groups, he'd get nothing else done! Besides, this AHA group is effectively a nonentity. As an atheist myself, I've never heard of them.
