Hostess Former Employee Blues
Yesterday, I got to talk to a person who used to work for Hostess, before the union and management killed Hostess, the makers of Twinkies, HoHos, Suzy Q's, fruit pies, bread and other bakery goodies.
He was on strike and then lost his job in November, 2012.
He said he was still unemployed but going to school to be a truck driver.
He also said he would never go back to Hostess, even if they open up the bakery in Henderson, NV because he didn't want to work for a distributorship company.
I then asked him if he was better off now than in November 2012 and he said no but he was glad to go on strike for the union cause.
The guy is also on food stamps and is living off his savings.
The guy is about my age and going on strike to please the union hacks really has killed him emotionally and physically.
I asked him if he would do it all over again and he said that he believed in the union and the strike.
All I can think of was this guy had to be an Obama supporter who was duped by the unions into going on strike and that it turned pretty bad for him.
All thanks to a union first mentality.
