Coincidence or Vince Lombardi is looking out for Wisconsinites?
From the New York Daily News: An Illinois man was arrested Tuesday with 21 tons of hot cheese.
Cops nabbed Veniamin Konstantinovich Balika, 34, and the refrigerated truck he was driving at the Vince Lombardi Service Area off the New Jersey Turnpike.
The Plainfield, Ill., man had stolen the load of Wisconsin Muenster cheese and intended to sell it on the black market, according to New Jersey State Police Lt. Stephen Jones.
Balika allegedly made off with the cheese, valued at $200,000, last week when he provided false paperwork to K&K Cheese in Cashton, Wisc., according to WISC-TV.
