Here are some things you probably didn't know about the Immigration.
From the Tennessean: Here’s a look at 10 of the more interesting provisions and effects of the immigration bill the Senate passed Thursday on a 68-32 vote.
The final disposition of the legislation is uncertain because the Republican-controlled House plans to consider its own immigration overhaul later this summer....
More Polish visitors. Poland would become a visa-free partner with the United States. That is expected to increase visits by Poles by 10 percent....
Canadian snowbirds would be allowed to stay up to eight months in the U.S. each year, up from the current limit of six months minus one day. ....
Farm workers who document a sufficient work history over the previous two years would be eligible for year-round legal residency under a “blue card” system, whether or not they entered the U.S. illegally....
And finally:
• More Irish immigrants. Irish citizens would be eligible for 10,500 new annual work visas under a provision added by Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., that he calls the Schumer E-3 Irish Visa. The two-year work visa would be renewable for an indefinite period, but it would not provide a path to citizenship. Irish citizens with at least a high-school education or two years of work experience would qualify.

Which reminds me of this clip from Blazing Saddles:

The mayor also reminds me of Dean Heller.
