This will be a happy week for Rick Harrison as his wedding is scheduled in a couple of days- July 21st to be exact.
From People: Rick Harrison has gone from pawning to planning.
After months of going back and forth, the Pawn Stars ringleader and his fiancée, Deanna Burditt, have finally set a date for their wedding: July 21.
But the date is just the beginning for Harrison, 47, who tells PEOPLE, "She's sticking me with all the planning!"
The nuptials – initially planned for Las Vegas – will now take place at the Ritz Carlton in Southern California's Laguna Beach. http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20665506,00.html
In the first episode, the first guy brought in a 1977 Los Angeles World Series baseball pennant that was signed by Frank Sinatra. http://www.sinatra.com/ The guy wanted $750 and Corey wanted an expert, Steve. Steve came in and said that Sinatra did sign baseball items and that he thought it was real and worth about $600. Corey offered $300. The guy came down to $700 and Corey went to $400 and then $450 and the sale price $475.
The next person brought in a replica of a Delorean that was used in the Back to the Future movies. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Back_to_the_Future_(franchise)
The guy made the car into the Back to the Future after buying a Delorean. He also had a copy of the Grays Sports Almanac from BTF II. Rick to the car on a drive and it apparently it was street legal. The car didn't drive very well but it was cool. The guy wanted $100,000 and Rick offered $10,000.
There was no sale.
The story line of the day was Chumlee losing his keys. They gave him a key finder for when you whistle, the key finder would whistle back. Corey and Chumlee played hide and seek with the keys.
The next guy brought in an old ticket tape stock from the stock market and famously seen on the Addams Family TV show. Rick compared the machine to cable TV today. The guy wanted $14,000 and Rick offered $2500 and the guy came down to $3500 and the sale price was $3000. The guy bought it for $30.
In the 2nd episode, the first guy brought in Vietnam era booby traps (10). Most were explosive devices. Rick wasn't sure if they were active. They were the trip rigs. The guy wanted $650. Rick offered $200. Rick went up to $260 and that was the sale price.
The next woman brought in Bucky Dent's cleats in which he wore in a 1 game 1978 Division playoff game against the Boston Red Sox in which he hit a 3 run homerun, which helped the Yankees win the game, 5-4.
The woman had no paper work and wanted $6000. Time for an expert, Jeremy. He said that Bucky Dent wore the shoes but could not prove it was during the Red Sox game. The lady wanted $4000 and Corey offered $400- no sale.
The story line of the show is that Chumlee broke the coffee maker and then he bought a new one.
He then bought this kind coffee: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2008/jul/24/exotic-coffee-is-monkey-business/?page=all
The next person brought in hunting rifles, rotating barrel rifles. Rick thought they were from the 1850's. Rick said the stock was replaced and a modern screw. The guy thought it was a left handed rifle. The guy wanted $2000 each. Time for an expert, Craig. Craig said that in reality, the guns were made in the 1940's with older parts. The guy wanted $2000 for the pair and Rick offered $1100 and the Old Man offered $1400 and that was the sale price. They went shooting with the rifle, Craig vs Rick and Craig won but each hit a 1/2 gallon milk jug.
That ends this week of new episodes. As usual, thank you for stopping by.
