President Obama gave a speech on Syria tonight.
Obama used the word "I" or variations of "I" 35 times. He used the word "We" about the same number of times.
It's all about Obama.
And the speech was worthy of a junior high school speech.
But the Obama believers will think this speech was like Moses speech on the 10 Commandments.
One could argue that he's taking ownership of the situation, and not passing it off to others. And if he used "we" the same number as "I", that would contradict the statement that it's "all" about Obama, wouldn't it?
ReplyDeleteI maintain my opinion that you'd be against anything the man said, somehow, some way. But I still like you, Dan. I guess you're my Lex Luthor! (And yes, I'm binging on "Smallville" on DVD right now)
Jamie, while I thought his policy was wrong and implemented horribly, I also think many of those opposing him, on the left and right, overblew what Obama wanted to do.
ReplyDeleteI think all Obama wanted to do was throw a few missiles into Syria and be done with it. He wasn't going to start a major war, like some people think.
I wonder if it was a fake-out all along, a scare tactic to prod the diplomatic solution that (hopefully) will happen soon.
