Good for the Los Angeles jury system.
From Fox News:
A jury in Los Angeles has rejected a lawsuit that claimed the promoter of Michael Jackson's comeback concerts was negligent in hiring the doctor who was convicted of killing the music superstar with a drug overdose in 2009.
The panel of six men and six women unanimously rejected the lawsuit brought by Jackson's mother that sought to financially punish AEG Live LLC, the promoters of her son's "This Is It" concerts planned for London.
"I couldn't be more pleased with the way the jury came out. They got it exactly right," AEG Live lead defense attorney Marvin S. Putnam said after the verdict was read. http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2013/10/02/verdict-reached-in-case-against-michael-jackson-promoter/
This was the right verdict- the family was just looking for an easy payday and the jury saw it's way through the BS the family tried to give them.
If this had been in Las Vegas, though, the jury would have doubled what the Jackson family was looking for.
