Can anybody seriously say that ObamaCare is working and not hurting people?
Can anybody seriously say that ObamaCare has helped more people than it's hurt?
Does Obama, Reid and Pelosi even care?
From Madison.com: WPS Health Insurance said Friday it will eliminate 175 jobs over the next year, including 95 by the end of this year.
The company — which has about 2,900 employees, including nearly 2,100 in the Madison area — said in a statement the cuts stem mostly from the end of a state insurance plan for high-risk patients, which WPS has administered.
The Health Insurance Risk-Sharing Plan, or HIRSP, is ending Dec. 31 because the Affordable Care Act’s health insurance exchanges will provide similar coverage starting Jan. 1.
In a WPS memo to employees, other factors cited for the cuts include federal health reform, automated claims processing technology and decreased premiums “in a very competitive environment.”

ObamaCare has cost thousands of people their jobs and now add another 175 people who will have to look for another job in this horrible economy.
A lot of companies are CHOOSING to use ACA as an excuse to streamline and save money. They are not being forced to. I think there needs to be a little bit of a critical eye cast toward blaming it all on the law, and giving no blame to the employers. Also, please keep in mind that a lot of these stories don't get too deeply into the facts of the matter. Go over to my page, and look at the Sean Hannity story. All three couples he had on had flimsy "look what ObamaCare did to me" stories to tell.
ReplyDeleteIf we didn't have the ACA law, then the employers would still be insuring their employees, people would not have had their hours cut, be laid off and if there were just an effort to help those who truly needed insurance, we would not be in this horrible mess.
ReplyDeleteUs conservatives predicted these thing would happen and sadly, not only were we right, it is much worse.
Well, that's weird reasoning. Presidents back to Nixon have been trying to get health-care reform. So, it's not just Democrats who have proposed it (in fact the ACA is based on a Bob Dole-proposed plan that came from the Heritage Foundation). Obama's the one who got it done, but it was coming eventually from one side or the other, don't you think? I'm just saying some of these stories are opportunistic employers, and some are just flat-out false. Few seem to be directly blamable on the actual law.
ReplyDeleteUmm, Jamie, I noticed you haven't really defended ObamaCare on your site.
ReplyDeleteWith your expertise in computers, you should have some insight on what is going on and why the ObamaCare web site is failing.
