Jerry Doyle has been on another extended absence, again. Last time, he was quite sick, this tie, it seems, it's a contract dispute.
From AllAccess: The trouble between JERRY DOYLE and his syndicator TALK RADIO NETWORK has taken DOYLE off the air for now, and DOYLE is talking about it on FACEBOOK. DOYLE, whose EPICTIMES.COM website has been sued in OREGON District Court by TALK RADIO NETWORK ENTERPRISES, LLC and TALK RADIO NETWORK ENTERTAINMENT, INC., wrote posts on FACEBOOK indicating that he would have to be off the air while traveling to OREGON to "work out some issues with my syndicator."
On FRIDAY (10/18), DOYLE posted that his website jerrydoyle.com had gone down and that the issue was with TRN, which controls the site even though DOYLE owns the domain name, but then updated by noting that the site was back up. Then, TODAY (10/23), DOYLE posted, "Having issues with my syndicator, TALK RADIO NETWORK (TRN). I miss the opportunity to hash out the issues of the day with you. Hopefully there will be a resolution sometime soon. My apologies to you all but please know I am doing everything I can to get to a place where I can have some degree of stability in how you receive the show."
TRN sued EPIC TIMES, LLC for tortious interference and misuse of trade secrets, alleging that the site's use of content from DOYLE and fellow TRN host RUSTY HUMPHRIES constituted interference with the hosts' TRN contracts and was accessing confidential TRN business information. The suit seeks $150,000 plus fees and an injunction. http://www.allaccess.com/net-news/archive/story/123609/jerry-doyle-says-he-s-having-issues-with-trn-after
My guess the same issue is going on with Rusty Humphries as well as I have not heard him in a while.
TRN also had Michael Savage before he left their network earlier this year, I believe.
It will be interesting to see what happens in the coming days and all this over a web site?
