From the Journal-Sentinel-Milwaukee: A Mexican woman who lived in the U.S. illegally for years was ordered Tuesday to repay the federal government almost $232,000 in benefits she received, including a liver transplant.
Amira Avendano-Hernandez, 42, of Clinton also must serve six months in prison under the sentence imposed by U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman, but she will receive credit for about five months she's already spent in jail.
She was arrested in July and pleaded guilty in October to stealing from the Social Security Administration. In exchange, three counts of health care fraud were dismissed.
According to the U.S. attorney's office, Avendano-Hernandez used someone else's identity to get Social Security benefits in 2002, and again in 2005 when she applied for disability benefits. From April 2005 to December 2011, she received $66,457 in disability income.
Medicaid and Medicare also paid more than $165,000 to medical providers, including the University of Wisconsin Health Center, that treated her. According to the indictment, at least $800,000 in claims for her treatment were submitted.

So, it took the government about 9 years to catch her?
And, how many other illegals are out there doing the same thing?
And for stealing about $800,000, she gets only 6 months in jail and will only spend 1 more month, compliments of a very liberal judge, Lynn Adelman. Very pathetic.
Get rid of her and send her back to Mexico.
