From WBAY, Green Bay: A man wanted for a robbery in Brown County was arrested after he parked the suspect vehicle outside the Brown County Jail/Work Release Center, according to the Brown County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say they were called to the Webster Shell station in the Village of Allouez Sunday morning for the report of an armed robbery.The suspect allegedly told the clerk he had a gun, although he did not show it. He got away with money and cigarettes, according to investigators.
Witnesses said the suspect got away in a two-tone, white and black SUV. Officers later found a vehicle matching that description outside the Brown County Jail on S. Adams St. in Green Bay.
Police say there was clothing in the vehicle that matched what the suspect had been wearing and a pack of cigarettes matching the brand that had been taken from the store.Police located the 24-year-old suspect in the visiting section of the jail and took him into custody. He's being held at the Brown County Jail on charges of Armed Robbery and Obstructing a Police Officer.
