More Global Warming On The Way To The United States

From the Grand Forks Herald: Anticipated snow and high winds overnight and Thursday could bring the season’s worst blizzard to the Grand Forks region.
The forecast prompted the National Weather Service on Wednesday to issue a blizzard warning through 6 Thursday night for the northern valley and as late as 9 p.m. in parts of central Minnesota.
While temperatures rose Wednesday, the North Dakota Department of Transportation issued a travel alert for northeastern North Dakota, including the cities of Grand Forks, Grafton, Pembina, and surrounding areas....
The weather service predicted that valley residents will see blizzard conditions, with the fiercest winds so far this season, by late evening and into this afternoon. Wind gusts of 65 mph or higher are possible.
“It looks to be one of the stronger blizzards in the past couple of years,” said Tom Grafenauer, a meteorologist with the weather service in Grand Forks.
As visibility waned in rural areas, several schools in the Red River Valley dismissed classes early Wednesday. Among the schools sending students home early were: Badger, Fosston, Goodridge, Greenbush-Middle River, Grygla, Red Lake Falls, Stephen-Argyle, Thief River Falls, Warren-Alvarado-Oslo, and Win-E-Mac in Minnesota and Fordville-Lankin in North Dakota.
The weather service predicted 1 to 2 inches of snow by late Wednesday, setting the stage for deteriorating conditions.
