This guy is just a rookie iwith minimal NFL talent.
From ESPN: The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) announced on Wednesday that it had purchased the rights to a documentary series that will follow the life of Michael Sam. Terms were undisclosed, but sources said that negotiations to make the deal took two months.
Sam became the first openly gay man to be taken in the NFL draft when he was picked Saturday in the seventh round by the St. Louis Rams.
Cameras for the network were with Sam when he received the call that he was drafted and will follow him through training camp as he tries to make the team. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10932826/oprah-winfrey-network-acquires-rights-michael-sam-series
I'm pretty sure the Rams are beginning to regret drafting this guy, unless they have been paid off by Oprah, which is a strong possibility.
A typical NFL team would not allow a camera crew to follow an unproven rookie around training camp because the rookie needs to concentrate on training camp so they could make the team. So, why are the Rams doing this for Sam? Are they being paid of?
And will the cameras being around when he gets cut? Or did Oprah pay off the Rams so he will make the team?
Just wondering because whole thing stinks. Not because Sam is gay but because Sam is an unproven rookie.
