From the Kingman Daily Miner:  Mohave County Treasurer Cindy Landa-Cox found herself in an adversarial position with the Board of Supervisors Monday over the issue of accepting cash payments at satellite offices.
The board took no action on the item, and recommended that Landa-Cox meet with County Administrator Mike Hendrix to find a "flexible solution" to a short-term problem.
The treasurer expressed her support for keeping offices open in Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City, but it's not going to be an inexpensive proposition. Operating costs for the offices would amount to about $200,000, she said.
Landa-Cox had been advised by the county's risk management director to provide the same level of security at off-site locations as the Kingman office. That would include a full surveillance system, an armed guard, counterfeit protection, cash counters, bulletproof glass and a high-security safe.  http://kdminer.com/main.asp?SectionID=1&SubSectionID=797&ArticleID=67557
So, you have a government agency that does not take cash as payments and then if they decide they have to, then they need a high level of security found in the inner city banks, grocery stores and convenience stores. 
Well, I am sure that the clerks at the local Wal-Mart, Circle-K, Kwik Trip and 7-11, along with bartenders and other store clerks would appreciate all that kind of security.
