Today is France's 9/11.
From Fox News: The death toll in multiple Paris terror attacks rose to at least 35 late Friday while at least 100 hostages were reported held at Paris Bataclan concert hall, the Associated Press reported.
The attacks, believed to involve two suicide bombers, included a shootout in a Paris restaurant, Petit Cambodge in the 10th arrondisement and an explosion in a bar near a Paris stadium where France and Germany were engaged in a soccer match. Simultaneous attacks are a trademark of terrorist operations.
The hostages were taken at the concert hall where the American rock band Eagles of Death Metal was playing.
Eyewitness Ben Grant said he was in a bar with his wife when the gunshots were fired and he had seen six or seven bodies on the ground. He told the BBC: “I was told people in cars had opened fire on the bar.
“There are lots of dead people. It’s pretty horrific to be honest. I was at the back of the bar. I couldn’t see anything. I heard gunshots. People dropped to the ground. We put a table over our heads to protect us."
U.S. Homeland Security Department officials monitoring the attacks in Paris say there is no known, credible threat against the United States.
Terror struck in Paris earlier this year, when two Islamic radical gunmen stormed the offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, killing 12 and wounding 11. The gunmen, brothers Said and Cherif Kouachi, struck to avenge Muslims for the magazine’s publication of cartoons that they believed mocked the Prophet Mohammed. The brothers were killed two days later after a manhunt was capped when police shot the two in a standoff in Dammartin-en-Goele. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2015/11/13/french-police-report-shootout-and-explosion-in-paris/?intcmp=hpbt1
A sad day in france and another reason why Europe is going to regret allowing muslims to immigrate en-masse.
And hopefully, Washington D.C. will wake up and listen.
Update: Sky News reports up to 60 people have died with 100 or so hostages are being held.
France has closed it's borders.
Update 2: Up to 161 have died today in Paris.
Questions:
If the citizens in Paris were allowed to carry sidearms, would the death toll be as high?
Will Obama take Isis seriously now that a jet liner has been taken down by a bomb killing about 223 and now today where about 161 were killed and scores injured.
Religion of peace, my ass.
