From Fox News:
Las Vegas police said late Sunday that a woman who drove her car into a crowd of pedestrians along the Strip, killing at least one person and injuring 37 others, may have done so intentionally.
Police Capt. Brett Zimmerman told the Associated Press that while terrorism has been ruled out, the driver appeared to turn onto the sidewalk, hitting pedestrians, before going back into the street. She then drove onto the sidewalk again at a different spot of Las Vegas Boulevard, hitting others. Zimmerman said police are reviewing video from casino-hotel surveillance cameras.
Of the injured, six were in critical condition, 26 injured and four were treated and released, according to Lt. Peter Boffelli, who called the crash "a huge tragedy."
"We know this was not an act of terrorism," Zimmerman said. "We will comb through that footage to get a detailed idea of what occurred. Right now from what we know, we're looking at it possibly being intentional."
The crash took place at around 6:40 p.m. local time on a stretch of the Strip that includes the Planet Hollywood resort, where the Miss Universe pageant was taking place Sunday evening. There was no indication that the crash was connected to the pageant.
Lt. Dan McGrath said the 1996 Oldsmobile was not registered to Nevada and the driver had recently moved to the area. Zimmerman said that neither the woman nor a three-year-old child who was in the car with her were seriously injured.
KSNV reported that the woman drove away from the scene and turned herself in to security at the Tuscany Suites and Casino, which is located on Flamingo Road, east of the Strip. The station also reported that the woman was undergoing a field sobriety test.
Joel Ortega, 31, of Redlands, California, said he and his wife, Carla, were in Las Vegas for the weekend and found themselves blocked from walking on the sidewalk toward the Paris Hotel & Casino. They could see police investigating about a block awayfrom the scene of the crash.
"At first, I thought it was a movie shoot," Joel Ortega said, "I thought maybe we'd see someone famous."
But then they learned that it was a crash scene. Joel Ortega said it made them remember how their neighborhood was disrupted after the Dec. 2 mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, near their home.
Those in critical condition are being treated at University Medical Center, Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center and Spring Valley Hospital. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/12/21/at-least-11-hurt-after-car-plows-into-crowd-on-las-vegas-strip.html?intcmp=hpbt1
So, if it was not terrorism, then what? I guess, right after the shootings in San Bernardino, the initial reports was that it was not a case of terrorism and then, only after a few days, was the shooting classified as terrorism. In fact, President Obama probably still thinks it was a work place act of violence.
If it was not terrorism, then what was the reason why this female thug drove onto the sidewalk, hit some people, drove back on the road and then drove back on the road and finished killing and injuring the rest of her victims?
No matter what, RIP to the dead person and prayers and thoughts with the injured and everyone's families.
