Martin O' Malley: Hey, All Lives Matter
To me, the biggest surprise of the 2016 election so far is how badly Martin O'Malley was.
Today, in Iowa, he got 1% of the vote and now he is quitting the race.
This guy had it all- good looks, surfed, played the guitar and was photographed shirtless and he looked good, at least better than Hillary and Bernie.
But 1 single mistake showed he is not presidential material.
In a speech, he said "All lives matter", in reference to the terrorist group, Black Lives Matter And Black Lives Matter called him on that quote and O'Malley backed down and apologized, a major sign of weakness, something he did not recover from.
By O'Malley backing down to a bunch of thug terrorists, he showed that he was a very weak person. In fact Bernie Sanders looks like WWE steroid popper wrestler compared to O'Malley, who looks like Eugene in Grease.
O'Malley never even showed a glimmer of breaking through (and I say this as a fan of his appearance!).
ReplyDeleteHere's the problem with "all lives matter." It's not the sentiment. It's the dismissive air in which it is often used. The "Black Lives Matter" movement never used the phrase in the sense of "other lives DON'T matter." That would be like being a "save the rainforests" activist saying "other kinds of forests suck!" That's not what they're saying at all.
The problem is that many people feel like black lives are being treated as though they don't matter. That's it, that's all.
