From Fox News: A Georgia police officer was killed Friday and two sheriff’s deputies were injured while serving an arrest warrant, police said. The slain officer was Chase Maddox, 26, Locust Grove Mayor Robert Price said, according toFox 5 Atlanta....
The slain officer died at the hospital, according to McBrayer, and was on the force for about five years. Maddox leaves behind a young child and his wife, who was due with their second child any day, Mayor Price said.

According to the Officer Down Memorial Page, thete have been 12 police officers shot or assualted and killed since December, 2017.
