Rep Dina Titus (Blonde-NV), a woman who has never held a real job in her life, proposed a bill in congress to spend $10,000,000 giving food to needy kids and their family for the weekends and holidays. "An anti-hunger bill that would provide schoolchildren with food to take home during weekends and holidays was introduced today in Congress. The bill by Rep. Dina Titus, D-Nev., targets children from low-income families that qualify for free or reduced-cost school breakfasts and lunches during the week.
The "Weekends Without Hunger Act" would initiate a federal pilot program to provide food for schools and local anti-hunger groups to distribute.
The bill authorizes Congress to spend $10 million a year for five years on the effort. "
Let's see, where is it written that schools need to provide food for the family on the weekends? second, $2 million a year is going to cover all the low income kids in the country? Heck, that wouldn't cover the CCSD low income kids.
Now, let's see, do we need more programs for families. Currently we have food stamps, WIC, food pantries, soup kitchens and so much more. So, why do we need another program?

So, the question I have: When was the last time a child died by starving to death or malnutrition because the family could not find any food?
