In the 2008 presidential election, President Obama, when speaking, often and supposedly, made people faint, almost on cue. Then hero Obama would jump in and direct people to get the person help. It was reported all over the media an Obama was made out to be a hero. But then, some in the media and blogs started questioning if the fainting was real and all of a sudden, the fainting stopped. Further, after Obama became president, there were no reports of fainting of spectators at his speeches.
Sadly, though, it was reported that 2 people in the past couple of weeks, died right after meeting Obama.
However, now, it appears that the fainting during the campaign speeches is returning to Obama's campaign trail.
From The Examiner: On Friday evening, over 20 people collapsed at a campaign event for President Obama in Roanoke, Virginia, Joel Gehrke reported at the Washington Examiner.
According to CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller, Obama
told supporters there were "paralegals" available to help those who felt
weak from the heat.
"Catching his mistake," Knoller tweeted, Obama corrected himself and told the crowd, "you don't need lawyers."
"Yes, we do need lawyers to help US opt out of Ocare penalties-turned taxes (sic)," responded Sarah Nelson. http://www.examiner.com/article/media-silent-as-obama-tells-fainting-supporters-to-get-help-from-paralegals
While the focus of the article is on Obama's Dan Quayle moment, which is understandable, since Obama improvised and didn't read off his teleprompter, it will be interesting to see if more people during Obama's speeches, are fainting, just like in 2008.
But it seems suspicious to me that when Obama is in trouble in the polls, he is resorting to making people faint or supposedly, faint. If this is a one time thing, then no problem but if the fainting continues, then we will know the fainting is staged.
