From NY Daily News: Fitness instructor and Bravo star Greg Plitt died Saturday after being hit by a Metrolink train in Burbank, Calif., authorities said. He was 37.
The fatal collision occurred around 4 p.m. on the tracks just north of the station, KABC reported.
Plitt was with friends who were filming something during the incident and police said his death appears to have been an accident.
A passenger told that station that Plitt was dressed in black at the time.
The train went by. I saw him stumble over the tracks. He had a camcorder in his hand,” the witness said.
Fitness model Jamie Eason wrote on Facebook that Plitt was "filming a spot for his protein shake" when he was struck and killed.
Plitt, a former U.S. Army Ranger and Calvin Klein model, appeared on the Bravo reality show “Work Out” and stars in the network’s new “Friends to Lovers” series. He was also featured on “Days of Our Lives” and has appeared in a number of commercials. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/greg-plitt-actor-fitness-instructor-dead-37-article-1.2083084
Just wondering what the guy's last words were when first saw the train 2 feet in front of him... like "Awww crap".

From the New York Daily News: An 18-year-old South Carolina woman has been charged with involuntary manslaughter for firing a gun at a friend who asked her to shoot him.
Taylor Ann Kelly allegedly obliged the request of friend Blake Wardell, who told the young woman to shoot him after he pulled on a flak vest.
Deputy coroner Don McCowan said Wardell bled to death after the bullet hit an unprotected part of his chest, WHNS-TV reported.
Kelly and Wardell were hanging out with eight to 10 people at a rural house when they decided that putting on a bullet-proof vest and having someone shoot at the wearer was a good idea.
Friends and emergency workers performed CPR on Wardell, who was lying in the garage, but to no avail.

I actually feel sorry for the girl. The guy asked for her to shoot him nd she complied. Too bad he didn't know she was a horrible shot.

Wheeee! Oh Crap
Another Darwin Award winner candidate, this time from Reno, NV.
From the Reno Gazette-Journal: A Reno man who died Wednesday when he fled authorities into a trash compactor has been identified as Rodney L. Wright Jr., 37.
About 11 a.m. Wednesday Reno Municipal Court marshals spotted Wright, who they thought may be wanted for misdemeanor arrest warrants, police said. He fled on his bicycle. Wright then ran from the officers after crashing his bike near the Truckee River Lodge on First and Ralston streets. Marshals lost sight of him and called off the search. But about 11:24 a.m., an employee of the lodge found Wright in the trash compactor and told police.
Police believe he entered the trash chute from one of the floors of the lodge and slid down into the compactor, which activated automatically when he entered. Wright was severely injured and after removing him from the compactor officers immediately began life-saving efforts, police said. An ambulance took him to a hospital where he was declared dead. An autopsy Wednesday showed Wright had injuries consistent with being crushed. http://www.rgj.com/article/20120614/NEWS01/120614006/Reno-police-release-name-man-who-died-after-fleeing-into-commercial-trash-compactor?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE
Clearly, it is sad for the man's family that he died, it is also good for the community that his DNA is eliminated from the DNA pool. Sorry that the employee who found the crushed body had to be a witness to this guy's stupidity.

Darwin Award Winner Nominee
From the Orlando Sentinel: After eating an ounce of cocaine hidden in his brother's buttocks, a South Carolina man died soon after.
Deangelo Mitchell, 23, and his brother Wayne, 20, were in the back of a North Charleston Police Department cruiser on Nov. 30. The duo was being transported to jail when they began whispering about narcotics hidden inside the older sibling.
The Mitchells were arrested when a police officer found three small bags of cocaine underneath a rear seat of their 2001 Chrysler. It is evident in video footage that Deangelo Mitchell encouraged his younger brother to ingest the cocaine. The older Mitchell has a lengthy record and was concerned that he could face life in prison if convicted of a narcotics charge. "I can't get no more strikes," he told his brother.
He further directed his brother to "Eat that s***" and "Chew that s***."
In the footage, Wayne Mitchell can be seen, in handcuffs, reaching back to retrieve the cocaine from his brother. He then drops his head while he eats the cocaine.
Wayne Mitchell soon after began convulsing and bleeding from his mouth. "White powder residue" was found on the rear seat of the police cruiser, cops noted. Deangelo later said "he believed his brother swallowed an ounce of cocaine."
Wayne Mitchell died within an hour of ingesting the cocaine.http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/nationworld/wpix-man-dies-eating-ounce-cocaine,0,6426492.story?obref=obinsite
Well, it is nice there is at least 1 set of DNA out of circulation the surviving brother probably will sent to jail for life, eliminating some more DNA.
So, Deangelo Mitchell, Darwin Award winner nominee.
