From WNEP, PA.: Three teenaged boys are accused of shooting a pet donkey on the farm of an Amish family in Lycoming County.
The boys were charged Thursday, about a week after the donkey was killed.
The donkey’s owners are devastated. They said “Eeyore” was their family pet. Their children would take turns riding him and all the neighborhood children pet him on their way to school.
According to state police, three teenagers shot Eeyore six times, last week killing the donkey.
Amos Yoder and his family live on the farm near Montgomery. The Amish family has a lot of animals, but they said that Eeyore the donkey was their children’s pet.
On Thursday three teenagers from Montgomery admitted to the crime and were charged with cruelty to animals and possession of a firearm by a minor. Two of the boys are 15, and one is 16.
According to investigators, the teens used a gun similar to a .22 caliber Crickett with a scope.
Each boy admitted to shooting the family pet six times until it died.
The teens also admitted to shooting several deer and smashing three mailboxes with a baseball bat.
The teenagers were released into the custody of their parents and are back in class at Montgomery Area High School.
Investigators said additional charges will be filed against the boys by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
As for the Yoder family, Mrs. Yoder said her children are heartbroken, but they want to get another donkey. She said the kids want to name that donkey Eeyore as well. http://wnep.com/2014/04/24/three-teens-charged-with-killing-donkey/
It seems like these thugs targeted the farm because it was an Amish farm and they knew that the Amish would not retaliate against them.
So, why isn't this a hate crime, Eric Holder?

Another Liberal Politician Going Down In Flames
From the New York Daily News:
An FBI investigation of last year’s mayoral race includes an examination of Bill de Blasio’s campaign pledge to ban carriage horses, the Daily News has learned.
FBI agents have been questioning people about the pledge, which was made in March 2013, and the ad blitz launched the next month by animal rights advocates attacking de Blasio’s chief rival, Christine Quinn, two sources familiar with the investigation said Friday.
FBI agents also appear highly interested in a $175,000 contribution by a union tied to de Blasio’s cousin, labor leader John Wilhelm, to the animal rights group NYCLASS, the sources Friday.
NYCLASS helped to bankroll the “Anybody But Quinn” campaign attacking Quinn’s mayoral candidacy.
At least five people have been questioned by the FBI in the past month as part of the investigation, those familiar with the inquiry told The News.
The News first disclosed the FBI investigation on Friday, reporting that the FBI was looking at a threat by NYCLASS’ political consultant Scott Levenson early last year to undermine Quinn's campaign if she didn’t back the carriage horse ban.

de Blasio has been a total failure, from bungling snow plowing to having problems with the polce and fire departments and then picking on the horsies in Central Park.
And now we find him just to be another corrupt politician and who decides policy based on campaign contributions.

Another Guy Bored of Obama
From Yahoo News: Since the invasion of Crimea, President
Vladimir Putin and President Barack Obama have had regular phone calls in an
often half-hearted attempt to deescalate the ongoing crisis inside Ukraine. But
as the U.S. and EU prepare to unveil new sanctions against Russia, Putin has
decided the interactions should stop. The Kremlin has ended high-level contact
with the Obama administration, according to diplomatic officials and sources
close to the Russian leadership. The move signals an end to the diplomacy, for
now.
“Putin will not talk to Obama under
pressure,” said Igor Yurgens, Chairman of the Institute for Contemporary
Development, a prominent Moscow think tank, and a close associate of Russian
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. “It does not mean forever.” http://news.yahoo.com/putin-stops-talks-white-house-193500418--politics.html
Anybody who has to talk to Obama is under pressure not to kill themselves with Obama's lies and nonsensical babble.
ObamaVille: 12 Shot Friday Ny Nightfall
From the Chicago Tribune: At least a dozen people have been shot on the South and West sides since Friday afternoon, according to police.
The total included three people shot, one of them fatally, in a neighborhood dispute involving an off-duty police officer Friday afternoon. Authorities said the officer's neighbor shot and injured the officer's wife about 2:15 p.m., prompting the officer to fatally shoot the neighbor in self-defense and then shoot his wife after she picked up a shotgun her husband had been holding.
Shootings began early in the afternoon and continued well after midnight. Early this morning, two people were shot in the 5100 block of South Wood Street, police said. Details about the shooting were not immediately available. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/chi-shootings-in-chicago-20140425,0,5900651.story
The good thing I suppose, most of the shooters, except for the off duty cop, had pretty bad aims.
Meanwhile, the leader of Obamaville had this to say:
Pretty much sums it up.

A School For Criminals, Liars And Hypocrites?
From the Chicago Sun: Barack Obama — first black commander-in-chief, adopted Chicago son, one-time boss of the mayor — will have at least one prominent public building named after him in Chicago.
Mayor Rahm Emanuel made sure of that Thursday — well before the president decides where to put his library — as Emanuel announced plans to build a selective-enrollment high school, the city’s 11th, on the North Side using $60 million in tax-increment financing money and eventually serving 1,200, giving much needed hope to parents who want their kids to have a chance at the best high school education the city has to offer.
The announcement and its proposed Near North location a stone’s throw from another academic jewel — came as a surprise that cheered many parents while disappointing others who hoped for a closer option for their children to travel to south of Roosevelt Road.
The move furthers Emanuel’s education legacy — a complicated history that includes a seven-day teacher’s strike, a record shutdown of 50 schools, slashed budgets, schools handed over to private operators, an expansion of selective enrollment high schools Jones College Prep and Payton College Prep, and now the creation of a new one on the North Side, a move sure to bolster an Emanuel goal of keeping middle-class families in the city. http://politics.suntimes.com/article/chicago/cps-build-selective-enrollment-high-school-named-obama/thu-04242014-115pm
They want to celebrate by naming the school after the worst president in United States history?
They should wait until Obama is dead before name the school after him. Or at least when he gets out of prison.

What Happens When CCSd Employees Abuse/Neglect Children?
From The Las Vegas Sun:
The Clark County School Board unanimously adopted new regulations Thursday that require teachers and staff to report suspected child abuse cases “as soon as possible” to authorities.
Now, employees must report suspected cases of child abuse and neglect immediately and no later than 24 hours.
Employees must call the child abuse and neglect hotline and notify their school principal, counselor and nurse. They must also report the case to CCSD Police in cases of physical or sexual abuse, sex trafficking or if the child’s life is in immediate danger. http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2014/apr/24/ccsd-hastens-teachers-reporting-child-abuse-suspic/
As a teacher in CCSD, this year has been horrible.
This year, I have witnessed or been part of or heard about students who were harmed or the possibility of being seriously hurt or even killed because of neglect or abuse by CCSD employees.
And all these incidents were covered up by CCSD employees/administrators.
It is decision time for me.
Do I want to return to CCSD.
I really don't know.
This year, I seen so much corruption in CCSD, when it comes to abuse/neglect of students and financial irregularities, that I wonder if I should I return to the district. And these actions have been covered up by the administrators of CCSD.
I also found out that an honest person has no place in CCSD. If you tell the truth in CCSD, that is a huge no-no.
So, do I stand with a corrupt school district?
Or at age 52, do I give up my teaching career, helping kids and start a new career
I also have to consider my health. My back is so bad that I barely can get out of a chair, I have trouble walking and I am in a great deal of pain most of the time.
So, I have spent a few sleepless nights decidng wht to do. If I do quit, I certainly have stories to tell about corruption within CCSD and bring down an administrator or 3.
Decision, decisions.

If He Didn't Use The Word "Negro", Bundy Is Right
The media is going ape-crap over what Cliven Bundy said about Negroes and government programs.
Bundy made the mistake of being an old fool by using the word "Negro" and associating welfare programs with Blacks.
From the LVRJ: Cliven Bundy promised big news at a press conference near his ranch Thursday, but there wasn’t much new in what he had to say.
The embattled cattleman repeated and then elaborated on racially charged statements he made to the New York Times, effectively doubling down on words that have cost him much of the support he had won from conservative pundits and politicians in his battle with the Bureau of Land Management.
Standing at a podium on a flatbed trailer overlooking the Virgin River, about 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, the 67-year-old rehashed his sentiments that “the Negro community” living in Las Vegas Valley public housing looks like slaves to him.
During a rambling explanation prompted by questions from reporters, he insisted that he isn’t a racist and does not support slavery in any form. All he meant, he said, is that he’s “been a-wondering” if black people were better off under the yoke of slavery than they are in today’s welfare state, where the women have abortions and the young men go off to prison because they have nothing better to do.
“I don’t think they were happy with their government-subsidized homes. They sort of looked to me like they were slaves,” Bundy said.
State and federal politicians from Nevada blasted the comments, which have quickly changed the conversation surrounding the BLM’s failed attempt to round up about 900 “trespass cattle” Bundy left to roam across hundreds of thousands of acres of public land. http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/bundy-blm/cliven-bundy-repeats-racist-comments-press-conference
So, let's look at slavery vs what is going with those on government programs.
Slavery blacks depended on the slave owners to provide them with life necessities.
Those on welfare depend on government to provide them with their necessities.
Some blacks were lynched and subject to brutality.
Those living in the urban ghetto areas are shot at, shot, knifed, threatened, murdered, extorted and subject to brutality. Talk to those in Chicago/Obamaville.
Those living in slavery had little chance of escaping.
Those living in ghetto urban and rural areas have little chance of escaping.
Those living in slavery had few local politicians speaking for them.
Those living in urban and rural ghetto areas have little or no politicians speaking on their behalf.
Thoe living in slavery depended on their community to teach them school lessons.
Those living in most areas depend on government schools to teach them.
Whle most slavery blacks could not vote, in today's world, we have many, many poor people locked up in prison, on parole or probation and they cannot vote.
There are numberous more examples, but please tell me, if you are on government programs, how is that any different than when there were slaves in the United States?
Instead of being a slave to a plantation owner, poor blacks and poor people in general are slaves to the government.
Is there really a difference?

Maybe He's Jealous... Or Hitting Them Up
From Fox News: One-hundred young philanthropists recently descended on the White House for a chat with Obama administration officials about collaborating with the government when writing checks to charity in the future.
Many on the guest list reportedly are poised to inherit billions of dollars ... someday.
The optics of the event present an apparent clash with the administration's tough rhetoric on the class divide in this country. But the summit was designed to encourage collaboration between the government and elite private citizens, to figure out ways to potentially maximize the effect of large donations.
"It's not just seen as some old guy writing checks anymore," 26-year-old Zac Russell, who attended the meeting, told The New York Times. "It's young people who want to solve real problems."
Those problems include climate change and millennial health care, based on one guest's account that was published in the New York Times.
The meetings were held privately in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building -- but publicly, President Obama has been somewhat hostile to many in this crowd's tax bracket. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/04/24/obama-meets-with-100-heirs-at-white-house/?intcmp=latestnews
Yep.. Obama loves talking bad about 1%ers but loves their money and attention.
Typical liberal hypocrite.

I Committed Child Abuse Today
If you listen to the liberals, they would say I committed child abuse today.
Today was "Bring Your Kid To Work Day" and I brought my daughter to Wal-Mart, where I work my second job.
She learned how to cashier, to shop, how to comparison shop., see the back warehouse and see how much food and items are thrown away each day.
She also learned what it was like to stand on your feet several hours a day.
She also realized that some customers are idiots.
But in the end, it was great daddy-daughter time together day.
Ummmm. No!
From the Reno Gazette Journal:
The Campaign to Regulate Marijuana Wednesday filed a petition with the Nevada Secretary of State to legalize the recreational use of marijuana in the Silver State.
The group, made up of investors who are entering Nevada's burgeoning medical marijuana industry, needs to get 101,667 signatures by Nov. 11 to move the process forward.
The first stop would be the 2015 Nevada Legislature.
It will be an uphill battle for backers of the petition because approval would take a two-thirds vote in both houses because the petition has a tax component. All tax hikes in Nevada need a two-thirds vote in the Legislature to pass. It would also need the signature of Republican Gov. Brian Sandoval to become law.
But a loss in the Legislature would automatically set up a vote by the people in the 2016 general election. And there, proponents of the petition feel they have a very good chance of getting recreational marijuana use legalized in Nevada.
"You have a component in the presidential election that would favor us," said Joe Brezney, spokesman for the Campaign to Regulate Marijuana. "You'll have a bump in young people turning out to vote for a president and young people overwhelmingly support us."
Brezney feels strong get-out-the-vote efforts by both major parties during presidential elections will also help get the petition to legalize recreational marijuana approved. He notes Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., is up for re-election in 2016 and that should also drive up turnout among young people.
"That is the demographic and we have been strategic about putting this on the ballot at a time when we know there is likelihood that we know who is going to show up," Brezney said. "We are a battleground state. We have the Senate majority leader and there is a lot of money focused on turnout. And so we think we got it right by waiting until now and filing this for a president election." http://www.rgj.com/story/news/politics/2014/04/23/initiative-seeks-to-legalize-pot-in-nevada/8067807/
I think Brezney already has started smoking the pot and lost a few brains cells in the process if he thinks that young people will come out in droves to support Senile/Liar/Coward Harry Reid, assuming he is going to run. If Reid loses the Senate, which is a strong possibility, I don't think Reid will not run.
But legalizing pot is a bad idea. We don't need a bunch of pot heads running around Nevada and legalizing pot will increase the number of users.
It will also increase the number of impaired drivers out on the roads.
This is a bad idea and hopefully, it will go nowhere.

Interesting Lawsuit
From the Las Vegas Sun: A Las Vegas football fan has filed a federal lawsuit seeking $50 million in damages because he couldn’t buy tickets to the NFC Championship game in Seattle due to a residency restriction.
But John Williams III, who makes a living working odd jobs at hotel conventions, says he’s not doing it for money. He just wants to make a stand against the National Football League, Ticketmaster, the Seattle Seahawks and others for committing what he calls an “unconstitutional” sale of tickets to this year's NFC Championship game, which was limited to people with credit card billing addresses in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Alaska, Hawaii and the Canadian provinces of British Columbia and Alberta.
Describing himself as “a taxpayer, resident of the State of Nevada, and an avid football fan” in the April 15 complaint, Williams argued that because CenturyLink Field, home to the Seahawks, was partly funded with public money and because the nonprofit NFL is exempt from federal income taxes, the sale of tickets to the Jan. 19 game should have been open to everyone.
The Seahawks set the policy to ensure its home-field advantage in the championship game against their West Coast rival, the San Francisco 49ers. Ticketmaster was named in Williams' lawsuit for adhering to the directive from the Seahawks. http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2014/apr/23/spurned-attempt-buy-nfc-championship-tickets-las-v/
I agree with the lawsuit because the tickets should have been open to anyone in the U.S.. I understand why the Seahwaks restricted the sale of tickets- they wanted only Seahawks going to the game.
But the NFL is a national organization, it is a public event and taxpayers help support the Seahawks and the NFL through tax help with stadiums, tax breaks and providing the infrastructure to and from the Stadium. And of course, not to mention the cops and firefighters that work at the stadium.
And not all NFL fans live in NFL cities and you are locking them out of buying tickets.
While his lawsuit is not worth $50,000,000 it does raise some good legal questions.

Nye County: Most Corrupt County In Nevada?
From the PVT: More details emerged Wednesday in the arrests of Nye County Assistant Sheriff Rick Marshall and a longtime county volunteer named Ben Gulley.
The Nye County Sheriff’s Office released declarations of arrest for the two men, who were taken into custody Tuesday evening.
Investigators targeted the men after receiving a report on Sunday from Steven Lee, a 15-year Pahrump resident and the president of a political action committee called “Citizens to Elect an Ethical Nye County Sheriff.”
Lee says he told police he suspected Marshall and Gulley of stealing and destroying between 40 and 50 of his political signs. Many of the signs in question have the words “Anybody But Rick” printed on them and are aimed at defeating Marshall’s bid to replace outgoing Sheriff Tony DeMeo in November’s election.
Marshall was charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, possession of stolen property and resisting arrest. Gulley was charged with conspiracy to commit a crime and possession of stolen property, according to police reports, which note that more charges are pending.
The men were arrested at about 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of Blagg Road and Comstock Circle. Lee says he was doing surveillance in the area, watching his signs, when he observed Marshall take an “Anybody But Rick” sign out of the ground and throw it. “He then had observed Ben Gulley pick up the sign and put the sign into their vehicle … a dark Bronco towing a trailer with Rick Marshall campaign signs in the back.”
A patrol deputy made a vehicle stop on the Bronco Marshall was driving. Gulley said he was shocked when a least half a dozen other sheriff’s cars descended onto the scene, deputies pulling their weapons and ordering the men out of the truck.
“They hollered ‘don’t move, don’t move’ and I seen them take their guns out. I put my hands up, but I couldn’t put them up because I was sitting there and I thought, ‘they’re going to shoot us!’” he said. “I said what the f—k is going on Rick, they’re going to shoot us. Then I started to open the door and I just fell on the ground with my hands open.”
“They’re hollering at Rick, ‘Get out the car, Rick, get out the car!’ And then Boruchowitz (Det. David Boruchowitz) told them to bring me back to him and he starts screaming at me, ‘you know you really hurt me, you know you’re making me do this!’ I said do what? I said what are you talking about?” Gulley said.
The volunteer said while he was being questioned by the detective at the scene he saw deputies get physical with Marshall.
“I heard him say ‘no. no, they’re too tight,’ when they were putting the handcuffs on him and when I turned around they were manhandling him. They were throwing him around and I was like ‘what are you guys treating Rick like that for? What are you doing? Why are you doing this to him?’ Last time I seen him they threw him into the back of the car and he hit his head. I said ‘you guys can’t do this, you can’t do this to him!”...
Marshall was back at work Wednesday morning. In fact, he showed up at the sheriff’s office after being released from jail, sending Boruchowitz into a tailspin, say multiple sources not authorized by the sheriff to speak to the press....
Marshall faces a number of opponents in his bid for sheriff, but is clearly a leading candidate, winning the endorsement of DeMeo earlier this year. However, his campaign has been anything but smooth.
In January his son-in-law, NCSO Sgt. Michael Horn, was arrested for stealing narcotics from the sheriff’s evidence room and from at least two local residents. Horn’s criminal case is pending. Coincidentally, Gulley’s job overseeing the prescription drug disposal program, makes him a key witness in the case against Horn. http://pvtimes.com/news/update-arrest-reports-shed-light-marshall-gulley-arrests.html
Since the completely incompetent editor of the PVT, Matt Ward, wrote the article, you know somethings were missing.
The article I quoted from is a rewrite of an article from earlier in the day.
The first version had Detective. David Boruchowitz as the first person on the scene and it mention that Boruchowitz is under police investigation and he is also in charge of the police union out there.
In the first version, Boruchowitz was the first cop on the scene and back then came.
And what exacty is a tailspin?
And since Ward wrote the article, you have to wonder about his motivation and accuracy in his report. He already has shown himself to be biased when he writes about Nye County politicians, especially if they are conservative. Currently, there is a liberal anti-gun candidate running for sheriff and this article may be a political gift to this candidate.

Obamaville: 8 More Shot On Tuesday, Obama Flees The Country
From the Chicago Tribune:
A 14-year-old boy is the youngest of at least 8 people shot across the city Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the shooting, which stems from an ongoing gang conflict in the Marquette Park neighborhood, happened about 6:40 p.m.
The boy was approached by two others in the 7300 block of South Maplewood Avenue. The two asked him if he had marijuana before firing at him. They shot “multiple times” and hit him once in the arm, police said. The boy was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition.
The seven others wounded ranged in age from 18 to 56 and were shot as far north as Logan Square and as far south as Roseland.
The latest shooting happened at about 7:31 p.m. on the 1700 block of 71st Street in the West Englewood neighborhood. In that shooting, a 23-year-old man suffered a wound to his leg and was being treated on the scene as of 8:10 p.m., said police. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/chi-teen-shot-on-far-south-side-in-roseland-neighborhood-20140422,0,4174884.story
Meanwhile, Obama, on Earth Day, is blowing up his carbon footprint by jet setting to Washinton State and then China.

More Obama Disasters
"President" Obama just hates the military and he shows again how much he hates it.
From the Detroit News: After the 9/11 attacks, tens of thousands of young men and women joined the military, heading for the rugged mountains of Afghanistan and dusty deserts of Iraq.
Many of them now are officers in the Army with multiple combat deployments under their belts. But as the wars wind down and Pentagon budgets shrink, a lot of them are being told they have to leave.
It’s painful and frustrating. In quiet conversations at Fort Bragg in North Carolina and Fort Eustis in Virginia, captains talk about their new worries after 15-month deployments in which they battled insurgents and saw roadside bombs kill and maim their comrades. They nervously wait as their fates rest in the hands of evaluation boards that may spend only a few minutes reading through service records before making decisions that could end careers.
During the peak war years, the Army grew to about 570,000, as commanders worked to fill combat brigades and support units to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan. Thousands of newly minted officers came in during 2006-2008.
Already down to about 522,000, the Army must shrink to 490,000 by October 2015, and then to 450,000 two years later. If automatic budget cuts resume, the Army will have to get down to 420,000 — a size service leaders say may not allow them to wage even one major, prolonged military campaign.
While a lot of the reduction can come from voluntary retirements, resignations and decreased enlistments, Army commanders will have to force as many as 3,000 officers — nearly 10 percent of the planned decrease — to leave by the end of October 2015. Of those, nearly 1,500 are captains, 550 are majors.
http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20140422/NATION/304220027/Shrinking-U-S-Army-calls-scrapping-young-officers
Obama and the Democrats are just plain hypocrites.
They say that the more people on unemployment, the better because it stimulates the economy.
They say the more people on disability is good because it stimulates the economy.
They say the more people on food stamps is good because it stimulates the economy.
They say the more people employed by government is good because it stimulates the economy.
But the bigger the Army and military, well, that is bad and probably doesn't stimulate the economy.
What a bunch of illiterate morons.

George W. Bush Shows His Class Again
Unlike the current president, George W. Bush has nothing to hide.
From the NY Daily News:
George W. Bush isn’t keeping any secrets in his post-White House life — or at least he’s trying not to.
The former President took measures to make public official records from his tenure as commander-in-chief, Politico reported Monday.
Bush reportedly signed directives just two years after leaving office that allowed many of the official records of his presidency to become public with unprecedented speed, according to Politico.
Bush’s November 2010 letter to the National Archives, obtained by Politico, organizes his correspondences into several categories — nine of which he cleared for public release.
Included in the accessible documents are memoranda and reports aides wrote for the former President, talking points and scheduling files, Politico reported.
The order, nevertheless, still preserves a certain level of secrecy — it protects the most sensitive inner-White House memos, “confidential communications” relating to national security and foreign policy, as well as communications to and from many of his most senior staffers, Politico reported.
The directive remains in effect until 2021, or 12 years after Bush left office, when federal law dictates that former Presidents must formally assert executive action to withhold records.

After Obama leaves office, you know he will keep almost everything a secret because he has committed crimes, acted against the interests of the United States and pretty much behaved like a jerk while in office.
Like Bill Clinton... except 100 times worse.

40,000,000 At The Stratosphere
This is cool.
Fromt he Las Vegas Sun:
James Kennedy’s visit today to the Stratosphere Tower was more than one in a million. Try one in 40 million.
An entourage of Stratosphere employees led by Paul Hobson, vice president and general manager, greeted Kennedy at the 1,149-foot-tall tower – the tallest building west of the Mississippi. http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2014/apr/21/stratosphere-tower-welcomes-its-40-millionth-visit/
Actually, the guy got the prize for being the first one not to spit or throw something over the side, got air sick on the rides on top or say "Say, those people look like ants down there.".

Milestone Last Week
Last week, I hit a milestone for the Las Vegas Badger.
I wrote my 10,000 blog post.
So, after 25,000 spelling erors, bad grammar, sometimes tacky, taking no prisoners but always from my heart and still no advertisements, I will continue on writing for another 10,000.... hopefully.
Thanks for reading.
Well, That's One Way To End A Trial
From the Las Vegas Sun: Defendant Siale Angilau was listening to a witness describe gang initiation rituals on Monday when authorities said he grabbed a pen, rushed toward the witness and lunged at him.
The shooting turned a new and secure federal courthouse that opened its doors just one week ago into a site of terror and alarm. Nobody else was hurt, but those in the courtroom were stunned by the sudden turn of events. A mistrial was declared, with U.S. District Judge Tena Campbell saying in her order that jurors were visibly shaken and upset. http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2014/apr/21/report-least-1-hurt-courthouse-shooting-salt-lake-/?utm_source=mostpopular&utm_medium=banner&utm_campaign=mostRead
Darn those pens.
Question though: Was the trial declared a mistrial when the guy died?
But that is a good way to end a trial and save taxpayers from having to house this POS in prison.
A U.S. marshal opened fire on Angilau — a 25-year-old "Tongan Crip" gang member known on the street as "C-Down" — shooting him several times in front of shocked jurors, lawyers and courtroom watchers. He died hours later.
Darn those pens.

BLM Murders 6 Bundy Cows
From the LVRJ:
The Bureau of Land Management on Monday said six cattle died in the roundup of Cliven Bundy’s livestock that culminated with the release of some 350 animals after a standoff between armed protesters and federal agents on April 12.
The BLM, which oversaw the roundup near Bunkerville, said four animals were euthanized and two died of unspecified causes. The four euthanized animals included a bull with Bundy’s brand, a cow with Bundy’s brand, an unbranded bull and unbranded cow, BLM spokesman Craig Leff said. The other two animals that died included an unbranded bull and an unbranded cow, Leff said in a statement....
Last week Leff said two bulls were killed because they posed a “safety hazard.” http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/bundy-blm/blm-confirms-six-cattle-died-roundup
The bulls posed a safety hazard? The BLM was supposed to have hired experienced cowboys to handle the repo, so what happened?
The cows were carrying Uzi's?
The cows decided they didn't want to go, so the BLM killed them instead?
And how did they kill the cows? Was it in an humane manner? And what happened to the cows after they were killed? Did they leave them out in the field for the desert turtles and coyotes to feed on them.
Just more incompetence by the jackbooted thugs called the BLM.

Strange Case: Ice Road Trucker Busted By Snow White
This is very strange.
From the LVRJ:
An “Ice Road Truckers” reality-television star was charged with kidnapping and extorting a Las Vegas prostitute, court documents released Monday showed.
Timothy Zickuhr, 40, was arrested in December, but charges weren’t publicized until Monday.
According to a Las Vegas police report, Zickuhr kidnapped Lisa Cadeau, also known by her prostitute moniker “Snow White,” and took her to his apartment on Lynnwood Street after she allegedly took more money than Zickuhr agreed to pay her for sex a few days earlier, the report said.
But Zickuhr’s plot was foiled after Cadeau gave him the phone number of Metro officer Adam Seely, who had previously used Cadeau as a source, the report said.
Zickuhr called Seely, not knowing he was a police officer, and demanded $1,000. He then gave the phone to Cadeau, who told Seely, “He’s going to kill me!” the report said.
After arranging a meeting behind the Eureka casino, Seely and another officer drove to the area and arrested Zickuhr.
Zickuhr told officers he planned to sell Cadeau’s services on Craigslist until he recouped the money she owed him, the report said.
He also said he poured cold water onto Cadeau from a mop bucket and locked her in a closet, using backpack straps to bound her wrists, the report said. http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/las-vegas/ice-road-truckers-star-charged-kidnapping-prostitute
I gotta say, the prostitute probably got what she got. She tried to rip the guy off and she got caught and then she cried tot the police when he turned the tables on her.
But you know he is gone to get razzed that he got busted by Snow White. I wonder if there 7 little midgets involved and a wicked witch?

ObamaVille: More Shot On Easter Sunday
And the mayhem in ObamaVille continues.
From the Chicago Tribune: A South Side shooting left four girls and a boy hurt, and on the Northwest Side a 15-year-old girl was shot while riding in a vehicle as shootings across the city Sunday night added to the toll of a violent holiday weekend.
The weekend toll for gun violence in the city includes at least 9 people dead and at least 35 wounded. Two of the deaths came Sunday morning when a Cook County sheriff's office correctional officer apparently shot to death his wife, a Chicago police officer, inside their Southwest Side home Sunday morning before turning the gun on himself, authorities said.
Five of the children shot Sunday night, who range in age from 11 to 15, were shot by someone who fired from a car shortly after 7:30 p.m. on the 6600 block of South Michigan Avenue, police said.
They had recently left a family Easter barbecue to play basketball near a school, said Ernest Porter, an uncle of two of the victims.
Moments before the shooting, someone asked the group whether they belonged to a particular gang, according to Porter and police. The group said they were not, and someone opened fire nonetheless, said Porter, 61, in a brief interview outside University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital.

From the Las Vegas Sun:
Bunkerville rancher defied the rule of law, picking and choosing what he’d obey
http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2014/apr/20/bundy-no-victor/
Umm, correct if I am wrong, but isn't that Obama/Holder/Clinton/Sebelius and their ilk have done with the different Federal laws they chose and chose not to enforce?
Gay marriage
Pot
ObamaCare
Environmental laws
Tax Laws
Labor laws
Banking laws
Campaign laws
And the list can go on.
When has the Sun done editorials ripping the Obama administration for this?
Yep, more evidence that being a liberal means you are mentally challenged.
(there may be 1 or 2 exceptions to this rule)

Oh, Please, Cry Me A River, You Environmental Crazies
From the LVRJ: Environmentalists say Bunkerville rancher Cliven Bundy, whose skirmish with the federal government has gained him icon status with states’ rights and free speech advocates as well as other disgruntled ranchers, doesn’t “own” the public land where hundreds of his cattle roam in the Gold Butte area nor does he have the “right” to let them graze there.
“He needs to abide by the law,” said Ken Cole, National Environmental Policy Act coordinator for the Western Watersheds Project.
The project is a nonprofit organization that advocates protection of wildlife and watersheds through education, public policy initiatives and litigation.
“Clearly the (Bureau of Land Management) owns this land. The federal government has never doled it out to him or his predecessors and has maintained authority over it since it was Mexican land. Before that, it was Native American land,” he said.
Bundy shrugged off the criticism, saying he has just as much right to graze his cattle on multiple-use public lands as anyone else who wants to hike, camp or advocate protecting the threatened desert tortoise and other wildlife. http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/nevada/environmentalists-bunkerville-rancher-bundy-freeloading
The fact is that the environmental crazies have had the Federal government take millions of acres out of public use to create safe habitats to supposedly protect some birds, turtles, bears etc. These crazies believe that all lands in the United States are the animal's land and that animals are more important than people.
So, the crazies can cry all they want, but they already have enough land for frogs, turtles, pigeons and other animals that don't need protecting.

Interesting: Tabloid Media Going After Obama
While tabloid magazines like the National Enquirer and The Globe are not too reputable (though the Enquirer has broken many a story, esprecially against Democrats), they are printing negative stories about the Obama's.
Why is this important?
Because the main stream media is not doing their job, so the tabloids are filling this void.
And the bottom feeder readers, typical Democrat voters, are now being exposed to Obama news, whether it is true or not, but something the main stream media refuses to show.
If the main stream would do their jobs, actually report both the good and bad of Obama, instead of treating him like a dictator or a royal, the tabloids wouldn't have to report the anti-Obama scandals.
Obamaite Fakes Crime Numbers In Obamaville
Fromt he Chicago Weekly: It was a balmy afternoon last July when the call came in: Dead body found inside empty warehouse on the West Side.
Chicago police officers drove through an industrial stretch of the hardscrabble Austin neighborhood and pulled up to the 4600 block of West Arthington Street. The warehouse in question was an unremarkable-looking red-brick single-story building with a tall barbed-wire fence. Vacant for six years, it had been visited that day by its owner and a real-estate agent—the person who had called 911.
The place lacked electricity, so crime scene technicians set up generators and portable lights. The power flickered on to reveal a grisly sight. In a small office, on soggy carpeting covered in broken ceiling tiles, lay a naked, lifeless woman. She had long red-streaked black hair and purple glitter nail polish on her left toenails (her right ones were gone), but beyond that it was hard to discern much. Her face and body were bloated and badly decomposed, her hands ash colored. Maggots feasted on her flesh.
At the woman’s feet, detectives found a curled strand of telephone wire. Draped over her right hand was a different kind of wire: thin and brown. The same brown wire was wrapped around each armrest of a wooden chair next to her.
The following day, July 24, a pathologist in the Cook County medical examiner’s office noticed something else that had been obscured by rotting skin: a thin gag tied around the corpse’s mouth.....
On October 28, a pathologist ruled the death of Tiara Groves a homicide by “unspecified means.” This rare ruling means yes, somebody had killed Groves, but the pathologist couldn’t pinpoint the exact cause of death.
Given the finding of homicide—and the corroborating evidence at the crime scene—the Chicago Police Department should have counted Groves’s death as a murder. And it did. Until December 18. On that day, the police report indicates, a lieutenant overseeing the Groves case reclassified the homicide investigation as a noncriminal death investigation. In his writeup, he cited the medical examiner’s “inability to determine a cause of death.”...
Many officers of different ranks and from different parts of the city recounted instances in which they were asked or pressured by their superiors to reclassify their incident reports or in which their reports were changed by some invisible hand. One detective refers to the “magic ink”: the power to make a case disappear. Says another: “The rank and file don’t agree with what’s going on. The powers that be are making the changes.”
Granted, a few dozen crimes constitute a tiny percentage of the more than 300,000 reported in Chicago last year. But sources describe a practice that has become widespread at the same time that top police brass have become fixated on demonstrating improvement in Chicago’s woeful crime statistics.
And has there ever been improvement. Aside from homicides, which soared in 2012, the drop in crime since Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy arrived in May 2011 is unprecedented—and, some of his detractors say, unbelievable. Crime hasn’t just fallen, it has freefallen: across the city and across all major categories.
Take “index crimes”: the eight violent and property crimes that virtually all U.S. cities supply to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for its Uniform Crime Report. According to police figures, the number of these crimes plunged by 56 percent citywide from 2010 to 2013—an average of nearly 19 percent per year—a reduction that borders on the miraculous. To put these numbers in perspective: From 1993, when index crimes peaked, to 2010, the last full year under McCarthy’s predecessor, Jody Weis, the average annual decline was less than 4 percent....
The city’s inspector general, Joseph Ferguson, may not. Chicago has learned that his office has questioned the accuracy of the police department’s crime statistics. A spokeswoman confirmed that the office recently finalized an audit of the police department’s 2012 crime data—though only for assault-related crimes so far—“to determine if CPD accurately classified [these categories of] crimes under its written guidelines and if it reported related crime statistics correctly.” (The audit found, among other things, that the department undercounted aggravated assaults and batteries by more than 24 percent, based on the sample cases reviewed.)
Meanwhile, the see-no-evil, hear-no-evil pols on Chicago’s City Council have mostly accepted the police department’s crime numbers at face value. So have most in the media. You can hardly turn on the news without hearing McCarthy or Mayor Rahm Emanuel proclaiming unquestioned: Murders down 18 percent in 2013! Overall crime down 23 percent! Twelve thousand fewer crime victims! “These days, everything is about media and public opinion,” says one longtime officer. “If a number makes people feel safe, then why not give it to them?”...
Still, it looked bad for Mayor Emanuel. His disapproval rating in the polls was rising sharply, particularly among black voters. Behind closed doors, according to a City Hall insider, Emanuel told his police chief that the department had better not allow a repeat performance of 2012 or McCarthy’s days in Chicago would be numbered. (Through a spokeswoman, the mayor declined to comment for this article.)
McCarthy called 2012’s homicide total a “tragic number” and vowed that things would be different in 2013. The mindset inside police headquarters, recalls one officer: “Whatever you gotta do, this can’t happen again.”
The chief felt even more pressure than his rank and file may have realized. For the former New Yorker to prove that his policing strategies worked in Chicago, he would need to keep the number of murders not just below 2012’s total but also below 2011’s: 435....
The homicide numbers are especially important, says one cop: “You should see these supervisors, like cats in a room filled with rocking chairs, afraid to classify a murder because of all the screaming they will hear downtown.”
If the numbers are bad, the district commanders and officers get reamed out by McCarthy and the other bosses at headquarters. These targets frequently leave the meetings seething. Even McCarthy concedes that such meetings can get ugly. “When I was a commander in New York, it was full contact,” he told Chicago in 2012. “And if you weren’t careful, you could lose an eye.” http://www.chicagomag.com/Chicago-Magazine/May-2014/Chicago-crime-rates/
Leave it to an Obamaite, Rahm Emmaunuel and his side kick, the police chief to fake numbers to make them look good.
Kind of reminds me of Obama and ObamaCare- Fake numbers to make him look good.

Another Reason People Hate Government
In New York City, the city elected a socialist mentally challenged liberal to run the city and he wants to eliminate the horse drawn carriages in Central Park and other areas of the city.
From the NY Daily News: It didn't take long for Aidan Boyle to figure out how he wanted to spend his 11th birthday.
Even though it was a crisp day in February, he and a friend decided to go for a horse carriage ride in Central Park.
What made it so special? His father, Robert Boyle, a horse carriage driver for nearly 30 years, and his horse, Black Betty, steered the kids through the city.
“I remember (Aidan) said to me, ‘When you retire, can I inherit this job?’” Boyle recalled. “You can’t tell a 10-year-old he’s going to get abuse from activist politicians who don’t know what they’re talking about. I said, ‘Yes, you can inherit this job.’”
The horse carriage industry, which is under threat from Mayor de Blasio and animal rights activists, has been the main source of income and pride for Boyle’s family since he immigrated to New York from Ireland nearly 30 years ago.
He is one of 300 drivers who depend on the job to support themselves and their families, which in Boyle’s case includes putting his kids through school and paying off the mortgage on his house in Rockland County.
“It’s very expensive,” said Boyle, 48. “I’m hoping that I can put all my kids through college. I’m going to need my job to do that.”
De Blasio wants to ban the carriage horse industry on the grounds that it’s inhumane for the horses to trot on congested city streets. He has said the carriage horse drivers can drive vintage cars around Central Park instead.
The Daily News last week launched a campaign to save the horses, prompting more than 10,000 people to sign petitions online. Several hundred other readers signed petitions and mailed them in.

Only a true cognitively disabled babbling liberal would suggest that the carriage drivers switch to expensive old cars. A horse drawn carriage is not the same as driving down the road in an Edsel.
I do have to say that elections have consequences and NYC has to deal with a babbling idiot who is in need of institutionalization they elected.

Obama Plays Games While People Killed In ObamaVille
Obama continues to play political games while more people are killed in Obamaville-Chicago- his hometown.
From the Chicago Tribune: An 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were found dead of apparent gunshot wounds in a home in the South Chicago neighborhood, police said in Saturday shootings that left at least one other person dead and ten more injured.
For the two found shot to death, Chicago police were called to a home on the 8200 block of South Houston Avenue at 10:38 a.m., said Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada.
Officials are not releasing the name of the 18-year-old victim who lived at the home. Shot with him was Jordan Means, 16, of the 8100 block of S. Coles. They were pronounced dead at 10:50 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
The two were found dead with multiple gunshot wounds, according to the office. Area South detectives were investigating.
In addition to that shooting, a 42-year-old man was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side, police said. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/chi-2-found-dead-in-home-on-south-side-of-apparent-gunshot-wounds-20140419,0,3639683.story
It just boggles the mind why Blacks support this POS president as he has done more damage to the Black community than any other president. And the fact that he just doesn't speak out about black on black on crime very often tells me he just doesn't care because he knows the Blacks will support him no matter what he does to the Black community.
! Agree With The 1,200
From the Daily Mail: If expanding the guest list to include Michelle Obama at graduation for high school students in the Kansas capital city means fewer seats for friends and family, some students and their parents would prefer the first lady not attend.
A furor over what the Topeka school district considers an honor has erupted after plans were announced for Obama to address a combined graduation ceremony for five area high schools next month an 8,000-seat arena. For some, it was the prospect of a tight limit on the number of seats allotted to each graduate.
For others, it was the notion that Obama's speech, tied to the 60th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Brown v. Board of Education outlawing segregation in schools, would overshadow the student's big day
Harbaugh said officials asked the president or first lady to speak at graduation as a tie-in with the anniversary of the Brown decision, which outlawed school segregation. The district plans to place a priority on seating students and their families, and could broadcast the event to an overflow room at a hotel adjacent to the graduation arena for those unable to find a seat inside.
That's not good enough for Taylor Gifford, 18, who started an online petition on Thursday evening to urge the district to reconsider its plans. She and the more than 1,200 people who had signed it expressed concern that Obama's visit would limit the seating options for family and friends.
'I really would like it to have a peaceful solution, but there is so much misinformation going on,'Gifford said.
Gifford said her initial reaction to the news was excitement, saying she was 'freaking out' about the prospect of the first lady speaking at graduation. When rumors of limited tickets surfaced, Gifford felt like the focus was being shifted from the students to Obama.

High school graduation is a big day for students because they have spent 12 years + kindergarten in school and this is their 1 big day to celebrate of up to 14 years of being in school. Plus, to limit tickets because of Obama just makes that much worse.
Obama can take her traveling circus somewhere else or another venue instead holding it on the day that is reserved to honor the graduates. Hopefully, she will come to senses, but I doubt it as she has a super big ego and it's all about her. But maybe he daughters can sit her down and explain the facts to her. After all, I suspect they don't want to go to Topeka.

Pawn Stars Review: March 6, 2014 Episode
Sorry again for being late but i am tying to catch up this weekend on all the shows.
From March 6, 2014, the story line was some kids maybe 2nd grade came into the store for a field trip. Corey started the tour and after a few kid questions, he allowed them to play hide and seek. Some found the Old Man who gave them candy and then later, ice cream. Corey had the kids cleaning the glass windows. Rick gave the kids a history lesson and the kids survived the tour.

The first guy brought in a 1965 Semie Moseley's Blue Gospel Guitar: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semie_Moseley
http://www.mosrite-guitars.com/
Moseley was the founder of Mosrite guitars. The seller got the guitar from Moseley 44 years ago. The guy wanted $100,000. Time for an expert, Jesse.
Jesse said the guitar from 1967 and it was worth $25,000 and the customer was not too happy. In the end, Jesse wasn't too happy with the customer. There was no sale with Rick not making an offer.

The next guy brought in a trade stimulator from 1892. It's a dice gambling machine. Chumlee offered $1000 and the guy wanted $3000 with the sale price of $2200.
The next guy brought in some autographed pictures of members of the Enola Gay. http://airandspace.si.edu/collections/artifact.cfm?object=nasm_A19500100000
The guy wanted $1500 and The Old Man wanted it checked out by Rebecca. She said the signatures were real and worth $600. The guy came down to $600. Chumlee offered $400 and there was no sale.
Thanks for stopping by and I will try and get more out tomorrow.

Shock: Illegal Immigrant Busted For Voter Fraud
I think this surprises no one.
From the Las Vegas Sun: Secretary of State Ross Miller says a woman has been arrested on two felony charges for allegedly using a false identity to register to vote and casting ballots in Nevada elections.
Miller late Friday announced the arrest of Ortencia Segura in California.
A complaint filed by the attorney general's office says Segura registered to vote in Washoe County in August 2008 and provided identification with the name of Marisela Reyna. Authorities confirmed she voted in the 2008 and 2010 elections.
Authorities say information from the Justice Department show Segura was arrested in 2012 and deported for filing a false statement on a passport application. They say she also had a false Nevada driver's license, prompting the investigation.
Miller says Segura was arrested Thursday for entering the country illegally.
http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2014/apr/18/illegal-immigrant-arrested-nevada-voter-fraud/
Yes, and Obama and Eric Holder will fight her from being deported.
And I am sure this not the only case of illegals voting illegally in Nevada.
But my hats off to Ross Miller, who is a good Democrat, for the most part, for bucking the party line and prosecuting the illegal alien. I'm sure he had some pressure not to do so.

And I am sure this not the only case of illegals voting illegally in Nevada.
But my hats off to Ross Miller, who is a good Democrat, for the most part, for bucking the party line and prosecuting the illegal alien. I'm sure he had some pressure not to do so.
ObamaCare Kills 100 Jobs At UMC
From the LVRJ: More than 100 University Medical Center employees, including registered and practical nurses, pharmacy technicians, and lab assistants, were laid off Friday as hospital administrators announced the closing of four care centers and an outpatient pharmacy.
The job action and facility closures, according to UMC CEO Lawrence Barnard, were the result of UMC Quick Cares losing millions of dollars and because of new opportunities for patients under the Affordable Care Act, which has expanded Medicaid coverage to more low-income Americans.
“This isn’t easy to do when people’s jobs are involved but we have to have a budget that makes sense,” Barnard said Friday. “With the Affordable Care Act, patients that we had developed programs for basically now have other options and there is no way we can justify keeping open Quick Cares that are losing millions of dollars. Patients who have gone to those will now have other Quick Care options nearby.”
In an April 17 letter sent to Martin Bassick, president of the Service Employees International Union Local 1107 that represents staffers at the public hospital, UMC chief human resources officer John Espinoza noted that both the Total Life Specialty Care Center at 2231 W. Charleston Blvd. and the UMC Outpatient Pharmacy at 1800 W. Charleston Blvd. were opened to help care for Clark County Social Services’ patients — individuals he said now have their heathcare needs largely met through expanded Medicaid and portions of the Affordable Care Act that went into effect this year....
The recent expansion of Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act in Nevada is expected to result in such a dramatic short-term cash flow problem for UMC that Clark County commissioners recently approved a $25 million loan to deal with “delays in the amount of future cash receipts associated with Medicaid claims and insured patient claims.” The loan must be paid off within 12 months.

Good For This Judge
From the Minneapolis Star Tribune:
A federal judge on Friday struck down a landmark 2007 Minnesota law that bans new power generation from coal, saying it regulates business
activities of out-of-state utilities in violation of the U.S. Constitution’s commerce clause.
U.S. District Judge Susan Richard Nelson enjoined the state from enforcing key sections of the law, which North Dakota coal and utility interests said hampered their ability to find buyers for power from existing coal-fired generating plants or to plan for new ones.
“It is a complete victory for us,” North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem said in an interview.
Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton said the state will appeal the ruling and “oppose North Dakota’s intentions with every means at our disposal.”
North Dakota, joined by utilities and coal companies
, sued Minnesota two years ago, saying the state’s Next Generation Energy Act violated the U.S. Constitution by improperly restricting electricity sales by North Dakota power companies.
Under Nelson’s order, Minnesota can’t enforce state restrictions on electricity imports from new power plants that increase greenhouse gases. No Minnesota utility has announced plans to do that. But the order, if upheld, could open the door to Minnesota utilities buying more coal-generated power from other states. http://www.startribune.com/business/255798461.html
While this deals with interstate commerce, hopefully the judge's ruling will also apply to other laws and regulations that have been put in place by Obama and his ilk who have decided that coal is bad and they want to put coal out of business, which is Obama's goal.
Good for the judge.
Another Reason Why I Don't Like The Episcopal Church
I guess Nancy Pelosi has been kicked out of the Catholic Church and she is welcomed into the Episcopal Church to preach her political beliefs.
From the San Fran Chronicle: To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco.
Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship."
The Democratic leader's ceremony coincides with Pope Francis' similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week. As he did last year, the pope broke with the tradition of washing only priests' feet during the Mass for the Last Supper - this time, washing the feet of disabled people. http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/Pelosi-assists-in-Holy-Week-foot-washing-ritual-5411553.php
Apparently, the author of this article, and the San Fran Chronicle keeps it a secret, doesn't know that the Catholic Church and the Episcopal Churh are two different religions. The Episcopal Church doesn't answer to the Pope. And to compare Pelosi to the Pope is quite frankly, disgusting as they are two completely opposite people.
And for the Episcopal Church to be used for political purposes, maybe the IRS ought to look at revoking the tax exempt status of this church, like they would if this was a conservative doing this in a Southern Baptist Church.
The Episcopal Church out to be ashamed of what this church did.

Probably Not What The Easter Dropped Off
From the San Fran Chronicle: A Tennessee woman says she made a grisly discovery while hunting for Easter eggs in her back yard with her 3-year-old son: a dead body.
Tara Hanouskova said she had noticed a foul smell but didn't find the source until Wednesday, when she noticed tennis shoes in the crawl space under her deck while hunting for eggs with her son.
Her son didn't notice the man's body, and police investigated discreetly, she said.
"They were very respectful; they tread lightly," Hanouskova said. "My son has no idea what happened
She said she doesn't know how the man got there.
Knoxville Police Department spokesman Darrell DeBusk told media outlets that the man had been dead about two weeks. The autopsy, however, did find that the man suffered from a medical condition that could have led to his death. http://www.sfgate.com/news/us/article/Woman-finds-body-while-hunting-for-Easter-eggs-5413515.php
I hate it when you have that "death" smell and having worked in nursing homes and as a former EMT, I know that smell.
It's a good thing the kid didn't find it otherwise the parents would have a tough time explaining how the Easter Bunny dropped this heavy and smelly Easter present.

Another Reason Why People Hate Government
When iis a suspension from a job not a suspension?
From North Jersey.com: A police captain who was administratively charged with insubordination will get a 29-day suspension without pay under a proposed settlement expected to be approved by the Borough Council on Tuesday.
Capt. Bruce Grasing will agree to the penalty for some administrative charges filed against him, drop his request for a hearing, and withdraw current grievances between him and the borough, and allegations of harassment against Police Chief Ben Ramos, which he filed with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, according to the proposed settlement signed by Grasing this week.
“It was in the best interest of all parties and the police department that we were able to resolve the matter, and that Capt. Grasing realized that some of his actions over the past several months constituted misconduct on his part warranting departmental discipline,” said Borough Attorney John L. Schettino on Friday.
Grasing’s attorney, Joseph Horn, a retired police officer, said the resolution was in the best interest of all involved....
The suspension, which could commence as early as Wednesday if the settlement is approved by the council, will be tied to four administrative charges that will be sustained, according to the settlement. Grasing will receive a seven-day suspension for making derogatory comments about Ramos to a subordinate officer, another seven days for using vulgar language at headquarters while off duty toward a subordinate officer, seven days for making threatening remarks to another officer with respect to that officer’s service to the police union, and eight days for failing to obey an order by a superior officer and “exhibiting disrespectful behavior” toward Ramos, according to documents about the settlement....
The police captain will be allowed to use up to 10 days of compensatory time and 2 days of vacation time to offset the number of unpaid days, according to the proposed settlement. http://www.northjersey.com/news/palisades-park-police-captain-charged-with-insubordination-to-receive-29-day-unpaid-suspension-1.999254
So, of the 29 days of "suspension" 12 days will be paid.
Like this would would happen in the real world of private business.
But in the reality of the government world, a suspension is not really a suspension, it's a paid vacation.

Senile Reid Speaks Out, Opponents Cheer
Speaking tone deaf stupid politicians, Senile/Coward/Liar Harry Reid is at he very top of the list.
Instead of keeping quiet and let things play off, Reid went off the deep end into a deranged rant by calling Cliven Bundy supporters domestic terrorists and basically called Bundy and his supporters un-American. Apparently, in Reid's feeble and senile mind, anyone who disagrees with him is un-American, like conservatives, the Koch Brothers and now Bundy and his supporters.
Wearing a cowboy hat and with a copy of the U.S. Constitution poking from his shirt pocket, controversial rancher Cliven Bundy on Friday asked dozens of supporters of his cattle-grazing feud with federal land managers what they thought of U.S. Sen. Harry Reid calling them “domestic terrorists.”

“Are you guys domestic terrorists?” he asked the crowd gathered around a stage near the north bank of the Virgin River.
The supporters, many wearing name tags that said “domestic terrorist,” erupted with cheers and applause.
“That’s what I thought. I thought Harry was right,” said the 67-year-old Bundy, who was accompanied by armed escorts.
He made the statement before a “Patriot Party” that started at 5 p.m. with music by Madison Rising and Ron Keel, who sang with Black Sabbath briefly in 1984. A party atmosphere among a few hundred people grew as more supporters trickled in around 5 p.m. Some people were cooling off in the river while dozens of armed militia members wearing camouflaged fatigues patrolled in and around the area. http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/nevada/bundy-supporters-party-welcome-domestic-terrorist-label
Reid is the most hated man in Nevada and if he wants to inflame the support of Cliven Bundy, he certainly did so.

Obama Kills More Jobs, Democrats
Is President Obama throwing the election for Democrats? The way he is acting, he must have secret hatred of Democrats as he on hurting them before the November elections. Today, he refused to sign off on the Keystone Pipeline.
From the Havre Daily News: Montana officials are condemning a new delay in the decision whether to approve construction of an oil pipeline from Canada.
The U.S. State Department said Friday it is giving federal agencies more time to review the Keystone XL pipeline.
Part of the pipeline would run through Montana, and reaction was swift from Democrats and Republicans.
Democratic U.S. Sen John Walsh called on President Barack Obama to show leadership and end the uncertainty by making a decision.
Republican U.S. Rep. Steve Daines, who is Walsh's likely opponent in November's Senate election, accused the Obama administration of basing its decision on politics.
Democratic Gov. Steve Bullock says the pipeline has been pending for five years and that Montana's economy would grind to a halt if he made decisions that way. http://www.havredailynews.com/story/2014/04/18/breaking-news/federal-state-leaders-condemn-keystone-delay/300609.html
And from Fox News:
The Obama administration once again has punted on a final decision for the Keystone XL pipeline, announcing ahead of the holiday weekend it is extending a key review period indefinitely -- a move that could push off a determination until after the midterm elections.
Republicans, as well as red-state Democrats who want the proposed Canada-to-Texas pipeline approved, slammed the administration for the delay. Democrats even threatened to find ways to go around the president to get the project approved.
"It's absolutely ridiculous that this well over five year long process is continuing for an undetermined amount of time," Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D., said in a statement.
Republican Nebraska Rep. Lee Terry called the decision "shameful," noting that another spring construction season will come and go without the project.
The administration had been in the middle of a 90-day review period for federal agencies assessing an environmental study from the State Department.
But the State Department said Friday it is giving agencies "additional time" to weigh in, in part because of ongoing litigation before the Nebraska Supreme Court which could affect the pipeline's route. If the route changes, officials made clear the State Department reserves the right to conduct another environmental impact study to include more public comments, which could delay the process more. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/04/18/obama-administration-extends-review-period-for-keystone-xl-oil-pipeline/
