Wisconsin’s three AFSCME councils are merging four years after the state rolled back public-sector union rights, prompting two out of three dues-paying members to drop out.
Mike Fox, a Pennsylvania-based international vice president for the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees, said losses in membership, dues revenue and staff are only part of the reason for the merger...
The three Wisconsin AFSCME councils claimed nearly 63,000 members in 2010. That number is likely less than 20,000 now.
Publicly available tax records for the state workers union show that Council 24 revenue dropped from over $5 million in 2010 to $1.5 million in 2013. Like the other councils it reduced staff to cut costs, but from 2011 through 2013 it spent $1.8 million more than it took in.

From Fire Rescue 1: A retired Dallas firefighter died Wednesday after an alleged drunk driver plowed into his motorcycle and fled over the weekend.
Charlie Contreras’ death came a day after family had gathered at Baylor University Medical Center while he was on life support....
Police say the driver, Juan Diaz Lizama, fled but was later caught. He denied drinking but failed a field sobriety test, police said. Officers say they saw 10 empty Corona bottles in his pickup, but another adult in the car said she drank about half of them. He also had four children in the pickup.
Diaz Lizama, 20, is living in the country illegally. He has been charged with intoxication assault and accident involving a serious bodily injury, though the charges could change now. I'm Not Eating Bumble Bee Tuna Again

The San Diego-based company, former safety manager Saul Florez, and Angel Rodriguez, the director of plant operations, were each charged with three felony counts of committing an occupational safety and health violation that caused a death, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.
On Oct. 11, 2012, Jose Melena, 62, entered a 35-foot oven at the company’s Santa Fe Springs plant to make a repair inside the machine, which is used to sterilize thousands of cans of tuna at a time.
Unaware that Melena was inside the oven, other plant workers loaded several carts that altogether held about 12,000 pounds of tuna, shut the door and turned on the oven, prosecutors said.

This poor gentleman, if he didn't die from the 6 tons of tuna, then he died a horrible death by being cooked alive.
As sad as that is, no way should there have criminal charges as the guy who died didn't notify anybody he was in the oven nor did he put a tag out sign on the equipment. A tag out sign tells others that the machine is out of service.

Baltimore Riots: Brought To You By Liberal Failures
So, another city went up in flames last night. This time it was Baltimore.
Another city run by liberals. Another liberal failure.
So, President weighed in about the riots, saying the rioters were thugs and thieves.
Well, done Mr. President but where have you been the last 6 years or so. Obama has had many opportunities to talk the Black youths who are rioting but at every opportunity, he completely fails- he refuses to even go into the inner cities. The Black folks who support Obama thinks he's one of them. But Obama doesn't think he is one of them. He sticks his nose at the Black community... unless they have money.
And Obama sent some White House fool to the thug's funeral in Baltimore and the newest stooge of the Obama administration, the Attorney General has decided to send in the civil rights division to investigate the police. Does this fool AG send in the civil rights cops to investigate the rioters who violated the civil rights of ten's of thousands of citizens in Baltimore?
And the fool Obama, when was the last time he send anybody from the White House to a cops funeral?
Meanwhile the liberal mayor of Baltimore was pretty toothless when it came to the riots and it took the GOP governor of Maryland to send in the big muscle to calm things down...for now.

I Wonder How Much He was Paid Off By Senile Reid?
From the Las Vegas Sun: A Las Vegas man claims he started a false rumor that the injuries suffered by Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid several months ago were the result of an attack by Reid’s brother, not an exercise accident.
Larry Pfeifer, a 50-year-old former consultant in the nightclub and entertainment industry, said he fabricated the story after becoming appalled that right-wing political blogger John Hinderaker published a rumor that Reid’s injuries stemmed from an assault by a Mafia enforcer. Pfeifer said he pitched his fake story about the Reid brothers’ supposed fight to Hinderaker, author of the Power Line blog, to test whether the blogger would publish it, as well. When Hinderaker reported it and the rumor was subsequently spread by others in conservative media, Pfeifer says he began plotting to self-report it as a lie to show the lack of credibility and journalistic standards among partisan media figures.
“It was just so outrageous,” he said. “The fact that someone can say something completely false that can destroy somebody’s life, it’s just wrong. Where’s the moral compass?”
Pfeifer, who describes himself as a motivational speaker who is involved in addiction counseling, said he completely concocted the story that Reid’s brother, Larry, showed up intoxicated at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting on New Year’s Eve in Henderson and claimed to have beaten up a relative.
Pfeifer said the media figures who published and broadcast the rumor did so without corroboration and without knowing his true identity. He revealed to them that he was using a pseudonym, he said, yet none demanded proof of his true identity.
The rumor spread quickly after Hinderaker published it April 3, landing Pfeifer on conservative talk show host Laura Ingraham’s radio program six days later when Hinderaker was a guest host, and leading to a conversation between Pfeifer and Rush Limbaugh. Pfeifer said he tried to get on Limbaugh’s show, where he planned to admit he’d made up the story.

So, if were to believe this liar, he opened himself up to a slander lawsuit just so he can see how his story to play out.

2. Why would this fool open himself up to a slander lawsuit by Larry Reid by coming up with this story?
3. How do we know that the Las Vegas Sun, a hearty Senile Harry Reid supporter, is not making up this story in a way to protect Senile/Coward/Liar/Pathetic Harry Reid? Brian Greenspun is an ardent supporter and Greenspun is an unethical journalist/editor and will make up stories to suit his political agenda.
4. How much was this liar paid to come up with this story?

George W. Bush is a classy ex-president, refusing to get into a pissing contest with President Obama... until now.

In a closed-door meeting with Jewish Donors Saturday night, former President George W. Bush delivered his harshest public criticisms to date against his successor on foreign policy, saying that President Barack Obama is being naïve about Iran and the pending nuclear deal and losing the war against the Islamic State.
One attendee at the Republican Jewish Coalition session, held at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas with owner Sheldon Adelson in attendance, transcribed large portions of Bush’s remarks. The former president, who rarely ever criticizes Obama in public, at first remarked that the idea of re-entering the political arena was something he didn’t want to do. He then proceeded to explain why Obama, in his view, was placing the U.S. in "retreat" around the world. He also said Obama was misreading Iran’s intentions while relaxing sanctions on Tehran too easily.
According to the attendee's transcription, Bush noted that Iran has a new president, Hassan Rouhani. “He's smooth," Bush said. "And you’ve got to ask yourself, is there a new policy or did they just change the spokesman?”
Bush said that Obama’s plan to lift sanctions on Iran with a promise that they could snap back in place at any time was not plausible. He also said the deal would be bad for American national security in the long term: “You think the Middle East is chaotic now? Imagine what it looks like for our grandchildren. That’s how Americans should view the deal.”
Bush then went into a detailed criticism of Obama’s policies in fighting the Islamic State and dealing with the chaos in Iraq. On Obama’s decision to withdraw all U.S. troops in Iraq at the end of 2011, he quoted Senator Lindsey Graham calling it a “strategic blunder.” Bush signed an agreement with the Iraqi government to withdraw those troops, but the idea had been to negotiate a new status of forces agreement to keep U.S. forces there past 2011. The Obama administration tried and failed to negotiate such an agreement.
Bush said he views the rise of the Islamic State as al-Qaeda’s "second act” and that they may have changed the name but that murdering innocents is still the favored tactic. He defended his own administration’s handling of terrorism, noting that the terrorist Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who confessed to killing Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, was captured on his watch: “Just remember the guy who slit Danny Pearl’s throat is in Gitmo, and now they're doing it on TV.”
Obama promised to degrade and destroy Islamic State's forces but then didn’t develop a strategy to complete the mission, Bush said. He said that if you have a military goal and you mean it, “you call in your military and say ‘What’s your plan?’ ” He indirectly touted his own decision to surge troops to Iraq in 2007, by saying, “When the plan wasn’t working in Iraq, we changed.”

Good For The Professor

A professor at Texas A&M Galveston failed an entire class, and he outlined his reasons in a fiery email sent to those students.
But the university won't quite be backing up the professor's actions.
In the email professor Irwin Horwitz sent to his students, he called them a disgrace to the school. He said he will no longer be teaching the course and will be giving everyone in the class a failing grade.
"Enough was enough," Horwitz said.
After what he calls a semester of disrespect, backstabbing, lying, and cheating, Horwitz had all he could take.
"Yesterday I reached the breaking point," he said.
He sent a lengthy email to his Strategic Management class explaining that they would all be failing the course. He said the students proved to be incompetent and lack the maturity level to enter the workforce.
"It became apparent that they couldn't do some of the most simple and basic things they should have been able to do," said Horwitz.
In the email he cited examples of students cheating, telling him to "chill out," and inappropriate conduct. He said students spread untrue rumors about him online, and he said at one point he even felt the need to have police protection in class.
"I was dealing with cheating, dealing with individuals swearing at me both in and out of class, it got to the point that the school had to put security guards at that class and another class," said Horowitz.
KPRC spoke with some students who say they were shocked to get the email. John Shaw is a senior and worried this would mess up the job he has lined up when he graduates in May.
"Just ridiculous, I had never had a problem in the class. I thought I had done pretty well, done pretty well on the first test and then I get an email saying I am going to get an F in the class, it was overwhelming," Shaw said.
Horwitz said in the 20 years he has been a professor, he has never dealt with a class as disgraceful as this one.
"This class is unique. I have never failed a class, it is very rare that I fail students, sometimes learning incorporates tough love," says Horwitz.
Dr. Patrick Louchouarn, the vice president of Academic affairs at the university made it very clear that although they respect Horwtiz, his failing grades won't stick.
"None of them have failed until the end of the class, meaning the only reason a student would fail because he or she has not performed the expectations for that particular class," Louchouran said.

Typical, the administration has decided to take the sides of the students over the professor, and I am pretty sure this is because of finances- they don't want potential students to think that the college is difficult and there are standards and consequences for bad choices.

Dr. Patrick Louchouarn, the vice president of Academic affairs at the university made it very clear that although they respect Horwtiz, his failing grades won't stick.
"None of them have failed until the end of the class, meaning the only reason a student would fail because he or she has not performed the expectations for that particular class," Louchouran said.

A judge for the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) recommended a lesbian couple should receive $135,000 in damages for their emotional suffering after Sweet Cakes by Melissa refused to make them a wedding cake.
The Oregonian reports the recommended penalty is not final and could be raised or lowered by State Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian.
The controversy started in 2013 when Aaron Klein declined to provide a cake for a lesbian wedding. Later that year, the women filed a complaint against Klein and his wife, Melissa....
Family Research Council President Tony Perkins blasted the harsh penalty levied against the Kleins.
“The state of Oregon has given a new meaning to shotgun weddings,” Perkins said. “You will be forced to participate in same-sex weddings and violate your beliefs.”
Perkins wondered what impact the Oregon ruling would have on religious freedom across the country.
“If Americans are not free to decline to be involved in a specific activity that violates their beliefs, then we are not free,” he said.
It’s not exactly clear what led GoFundMe to drop the fundraising drive - but Perkins blamed it on gay activists.

More than 100 officers — wearing helmets, gloves and vests and carrying batons — formed a wall along several blocks of Pratt Street, and began to make arrests. State police in full tactical gear were deployed to the city to respond to a crowd that was becoming unruly.
Protesters shouted: “Killers!” and “You can't get away with this!” and “Hands up don't shoot!” Some threw rocks, water bottles, even hot dog buns and condiments at police mounted on horses, smashed windows at local businesses and looted at least one convenience store.
The crowd — estimated at 1,200 — had remained mostly peaceful from about noon until about 6:30 p.m., near the time the Orioles game was set to begin.
Near the intersection of Howard and Pratt streets, police chanted at the crowds, “Move back. Move back.”
The protest was the largest of daily gatherings in the week since Gray died. The 25-year-old had sustained spinal cord injuries while in police custody following his arrest April 12 near Gilmor Homes in West Baltimore.
At the Gallery at Harborplace around 7 p.m., a window at the Michael Kors store was smashed and shoppers were evacuated. The Judge Was Right

A convicted felon erupted in anger Friday after a Brooklyn judge slapped him with a sentence of 15 years in prison for biting a federal marshal’s finger.
Judge Nicholas Garaufis was still speaking when the full impact of the impending prison stint apparently registered with Corey Jones. The perp began waving his arm in disgust at the judge and then an expletive-filled rant began.
“F--- that, n-----!” he shouted as his mother, sitting in the courtroom, urged him to stop. “One hundred eighty months. That’s 15 years for this s---!”
“You’re a racist, that’s what you are, a f------ racist!” he screamed at the federal judge.
Garaufis continued reading the judgment in a normal tone of voice, and advised the defendant that he had a right to an appeal.
“Damn right, I will!” Jones shouted, followed by a homophobic slur. “F------ f-----!”
Jones, 37, walked into the courtroom facing a sentence of 37 to 46 months under federal sentencing guidelines and his defense lawyer claimed that was too harsh. The lawyer, Michael Schneider, argued that the biting of Deputy U.S. Marshal Ryan Westfield was not really a crime of violence as defined by federal law. The lawman’s injury was minor, he said....
Before he was sentenced, Jones made his own bid for leniency. “I’m not disputing I have a violent background and I’ve worked hard to change it,” he said.
Jones had been serving a 92-month sentence for gun possession and had only about five months left when he got in trouble at the halfway house....
“I’m guilty maybe of being resistant. . . . I think simply me saying, ‘I’m sorry’ wA simple apology is hardly what Garaufis had in mind for the thug whose rap sheet includes two prior felony convictions and more than 25 disciplinary infractions while in custody. A Liberal Mayor Becomes More Conservative
You gotta love this, especially, the mayor involved, Paul Soglin, especially since, when he was a very young mayor, back in the early 1970's.

The actions would include ending all outdoor living and encampments except at the City-County Building, and seeking to limit free food distribution to the City-County Building.
In the past two weeks there has been a serious increase in the number of drifters Downtown, with more people coming to the front entrance of the City-County Building, and new encampments in other places, including one at Frances Street between State and Langdon streets, Soglin said in a memo Friday to City Council members and department mangers.
The Frances Street situation rapidly deteriorated last week, the memo says.
On April 18, individuals clearly under the influence of drugs were occupying the benches near Urban Outfitters and the steps of Frances Street, the memo says. On Tuesday, more than six hypodermic needles were found in the grassy area alongside The Towers. On Wednesday the area was littered with food and other debris. On several occasions clothing was littering the area, including feces-laden pants.
At 3 a.m. Friday, city park crews went into the area and power-washed the block, the memo says. The improvement was significant but won’t keep the area safe and healthy if the behavior reoccurs, it says. Those in the area were told of the cleaning in advance and found other locations to bed down on Thursday night, it said.
“We have a dangerous situation,” Soglin said in an interview. “What am I going to do when some child playing on the Square or State Street picks up a needle and is infected. This is about health, safety and crime.”
Actions to be taken include:
Stopping all illegal outdoor living and encampments. Individuals who wish to live outdoors will be given an opportunity to go the City-County Building or shelters.

So, congratulations for Soglin for finally growing up but it took you about 40 years to do so.

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers had been trying to build support for a vote this week on unionizing 3,175 production and maintenance workers, but called off the vote days before it was to happen.
“After speaking with Boeing workers who we were previously unable to reach, we’ve determined now is not the right time for an election,” union organizer Mike Evans said in a statement. “An atmosphere of threats, harassment and unprecedented political interference has intimidated workers to the point we don’t believe a free and fair election is possible.”
The union filed an unfair labor practice with the National Labor Relations Board in which it alleged that "two organizers were threatened at gunpoint and others reported hostile and near-violent confrontations," according to a union press release.

The relationship between former President Bill Clinton and a group of wealthy Canadian mining investors who made significant contributions to the Clinton family's foundation has come under scrutiny after their uranium company ended up in the hands of the Russians.
That deal, which gave the Russians access to part of the U.S. uranium reserves, all started with Bill Clinton's dealings with friend Frank Giustra.
At the same time, Schweizer said, "Giustra has been involved in helping to facilitate speaking engagements -- for the Clintons."
New York Times reporter Jo Becker, who spent months investigating the deal before publishing a story Thursday, said Guistra and Clinton were both "whisked to the [palace] of President Nazarbayev in Kazakhstan, and it's a fascinating story, because everybody walked away from the table that night with something."
Clinton, Becker said, "basically endorsed" the "progress" Kazakhstan had made on its democracy, though Nazarbayev was elected "with 90 percent-plus of the vote ... in an election that was widely criticized as being rigged."
Schweizer said Clinton even held a press conference with the president and praised his human rights record.
In the end, Giustra got what he wanted.
"The bottom line is after they leave, a couple of days later, Frank Giustra gets his uranium concessions, which end up being enormously lucrative to him and to a small group of Canadian mining investors," Schweizer said.
Becker said his company went from "a worthless shell company overnight -- became this ...huge uranium mining deal."
And then soon after that, Becker said, "Bill Clinton got a huge donation, $31 million from Frank Guistra to his charitable foundation, followed by a pledge to donate $100 million more."
Call by Fox News to the Kazakhstan Embassy were not returned.
Reached for comment, Giustra told Fox News he considers this an old story, and he's not interested in politics.
Meanwhile, his defenders insist that no undue influence was exerted in Kazakhstan because the deal did not require the Kazakh government's approval.
However, Schweizer said, corporate records "indicate very, very clearly that the Kazakh government did have to sign off and approve."

Last night a couple of lesbian WNBA basketball players got arrested for assaulting each other.
From ESPN: Phoenix Mercury star Brittney Griner and her fiancee, fellow WNBA player Glory Johnson, were arrested on suspicion of assault and disorderly conduct after an argument in the home they recently purchased together became physical.
The two 24-year-olds were each arrested Wednesday on counts of assault by recklessly causing physical injuries and disorderly conduct for fighting. They were booked into the Maricopa County Jail in downtown Phoenix and later released....
Griner told police that she and Johnson had been arguing every day and got into each other's faces Wednesday afternoon in the home they had bought two days earlier after Johnson said Griner "disrespected" her, according to a police report.
Johnson told police Griner had gotten too close, so she pushed her back to get some separation and began talking to her sister, Judy Johnson, when she was pushed in the back of the head by Griner. Glory Johnson turned around and the physical altercation began, with both fighting on the floor for 4 to 6 minutes. The entire episode lasted about 20 minutes, according to the report.
Griner had a laceration on her right wrist and a tooth mark on the middle finger of her right hand after it ended up in Johnson's mouth, according to the police report.
Johnson, who plays for the Tulsa Shock, had a cut on her lip and Julio Trejo, a friend of Griner's, had a cut on his neck after trying to break up the fight. All three declined medical attention.

Man, He's Good
From NBC: North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un scaled his country's highest mountain in time to watch the sun rise over his country, according to state-run media.
Kim was accompanied to the 9,022-foot summit of Mt. Paektu by a group of fighter pilots, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported.
Pictures released by KCNA showed the smiling dictator against the backdrop of snowy mountains and a blazing sun.
"When one climbs snow stormy Mt. Paektu and undergoes the blizzards over it, one can experiences its real spirit and harden the resolution to accomplish the Korean revolution," Kim said, according to KCNA.
Lying on the border with China, Mt. Paektu holds a sacred place in Korean folklore as the birthplace of the leader's late father King Jong-il — though that has been disputed by historians.

Yes, I know there is plenty more to a candidacy for president than just gender. Sometimes You Hunt, Sometimes You Are Hunted
From the NY Daily News: It was a fatal case of the hunter becoming the hunted.
Ian Gibson was trampled to death by an elephant that he was trying to kill for sport, reports the hunting website, Safari Classics.
Gibson was leading the hunt in Chewore North, Zimbabwe, when he spotted the bull elephant.
An experienced hunter, he tracked the elephant until he was just as little as some 150 feet away front the beast.
The elephant then turned and charged, trampling Gibson to death.
The death was announced by the Safari Classics website.
It wrote: "Ian was tragically killed by an elephant bull earlier today while guiding an elephant hunt in Chewore North."
It continued: "At very close range, Ian was able to get off one shot before the bull killed him. The scene was very graphic."
Gibson, a father, was hunting with a client, who was unhurt during the incident.
But his death received little sympathy online.

Boo To The LVRJ
Well, apparently the LVRJ gets offended when you say White Lives matter.

So, I commented to the LVRJ that White lives matter, especially compared to the thugs that are killed by cops, after the thugs decided to fight with the cops.
Apparently, the LVRJ decided that this comment was not according to their standards and they deleted it.
What a bunch of idiots at the LVRJ.
Probably will be banned by these fools.

Don't Piss Off Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart suddenly closed five stores in four states on Monday for alleged plumbing problems.
The closures could last up to six months and affect roughly 2,200 workers in Texas, California, Oklahoma, and Florida, CNN Money reports.
Wal-Mart employees say they were completely blindsided by the news, having been notified only a couple hours before the stores closed at 7 p.m. Monday.
"Everybody just panicked and started crying," Venanzi Luna, a manager at a store in Pico Rivera, California, told CNN Money.
All workers will receive paid leave for two months. After that, full-time workers could become eligible for severance, according to CNN Money. But part-time workers will be on their own.
Local officials and employees have questioned Wal-Mart's reasoning for the closures.
According to ABC News, "no plumbing permits have been pulled in any of the five cities where the stores were suddenly closed for at least six months." The cities where locations were closed include: Brandon, Florida; Pico Rivera, California; Livingston, Texas; Midland, Texas; and Tulsa, Oklahoma.
A city official in Pico Rivera confirmed to CBS Los Angeles that the city has not received any permit requests for building repairs.
In Midland, Texas, where another store was closed, a city official told ABC News that his plumbing inspector was turned away when he visited the store and offered to help secure construction permits.
Wal-Mart plumbing technician Codi Bauer, who worked at the now shuttered store in Brandon, Florida, questioned the company's time frame for the repairs.
"Even if they had to replace the whole sewer line, it wouldn't take six months to replace a whole sewer line in that store," he told WFLA.

As a former employee of Wal-Mart, you are told from Day 1, you do not involve the union in the work place and these fools at Wal-Mart tried to test this Wal-Mart policy and they lost.
So, now, these pro-union people at these Wal-Mart stores, are you satisfied that you helped close down these stores?
And my guess is that when these stores, if they re-open, will have to re-apply for their jobs and those who protested will be no longer employed by Wal-Mart.
So, I hope these guys learned a lesson- you don't mess with Wal-Mart.

Cassandra Lee Cassidy, a 24-year-old Las Vegan, was an “innocent bystander,” Metro said in a prepared statement.
She had just arrived to her shift at a house owned by Solutions Recovery Inc., a drug and alcohol recovery center with multiple houses around the valley, shortly after 10 pm., said Adam Loghides, her 26-year-old boyfriend.
Cassidy parked at the house, in the 1300 block of Westwind Road, near West Charleston Boulevard and Lindell Road, and encountered two “fearful” females who were asking for help, police said.
They told police later they were afraid of males in a car down the street, Metro Lt. Jeff Goodwin said Saturday.
The two-door white car occupied by multiple people approached Cassidy’s car while she was talking to the pair and at least one person in the car fired multiple rounds, fatally injuring Cassidy, police said. Then the car sped off.
The pair who had asked Cassidy to use her phone were not injured, Goodwin said. They knocked on a door to try to get help and then went into the backyard of the home, he said. Residents returning to that home found Cassidy lying on the driveway and called police.
Cassidy was critically injured by a gunshot wound and later was pronounced dead at University Medical Center, Metro Lt. Troy Barrett said Friday. She was identified by the Clark County coroner’s office Saturday.

How Not To Run A free Give away...Or, People Are Greedy
Today, Cascade Paper, their Kingman, AZ branch decided to give away paper towels, toilet paper and napkins to the people of Kingman.
Well, that sounds nice except for the greed of Kingmanites and the stupidity/laziness of Cascade employees.
Cascades told the community that they were giving away the paper products from 8-12 noon today.
What they didn't tell you is that that they didn't restrict the amount of paper products you can get.
So, people with pick up trucks, trailers, U-Haul trucks and other large vehicles all showed up between 8-9:00 and grabbed all the free paper products they could stuff into their vehicles. It was not unusual to see trucks with trailers leave with 30-40 cases of paper products each and who knows how much they stuffed into the U-Hauls.
People with mini-vans had paper products stuffed in all possible places, making it impossible to see except out the driver's side windshield and the driver's window.
And of course, by about 9:30, they ran out of all the freebies.

RINO's Roaming In Nevada
From the LVRJ: Republican and Democratic leaders in the Nevada Senate both expressed confidence Friday that the governor’s proposed business license fee hike will win approval early next week.
Senate Bill 252 has been sitting in legislative limbo on the secretary’s desk awaiting a vote in the upper chamber as a Tuesday deadline looms for passage.
“As of today I’m confident there will be a vote on Senate Bill 252 Monday or Tuesday and that it will pass,” Senate Majority Leader Michael Roberson, R-Henderson, told the Review-Journal in a brief interview.
Roberson said he has been meeting with Democratic leadership over the bill but declined to say what’s been discussed.
State Sen. Aaron Ford, the Democratic minority leader, confirmed the ongoing talks and expressed his own optimism the bill will pass.
“We’ve had some discussions and those discussions will continue over the next few days and we’ll see what happens in that regard,” said Ford, D-Las Vegas. “But I share his confidence.”
Sandoval welcomed the news.
“I’m encouraged that the members of the Legislature are working together in an effort to modernize and invest in Nevada’s public education system. I will continue to meet with lawmakers, business owners, and community leaders to lay out my vision for a new Nevada which includes new revenue for education as well as meaningful reforms and accountability measures,” Sandoval said in an email statement.

The FBI Out Of Control?
Thank goodness there is at least 1 honest Federal judge out there.

A federal judge ruled Friday that FBI agents violated a wealthy Malaysian businessman’s privacy rights when they entered his Caesars Palace villa posing as repairmen to secretly gather evidence before conducting a raid in an international sports betting investigation.
U.S. District Judge Andrew Gordon also upheld a federal magistrate judge’s recommendation to toss out evidence in the high-profile case because of misrepresentations and omissions FBI agents made in a search warrant affidavit seeking permission to raid the multimillion-dollar betting operation last July.
The businessman, Paul Phua, is facing illegal gambling charges stemming from the raid.
“It’s a great day for American citizens and Mr. Phua in that the rights of privacy and freedom were upheld by the court,” said David Chesnoff, one of Phua’s lawyers.
Chesnoff and fellow defense attorneys Thomas Goldstein and Richard Schonfeld had argued that the ruse was unconstitutional. Gordon agreed in his 22-page decision on Friday.
Gordon said the unprecedented ruse took away Phua’s Fourth Amendment rights to be free from “unreasonable” searches and seizures, and the judge barred prosecutors from using any evidence agents obtained as a result of it.
“This case tests the boundaries of how far the government can go when creating a subterfuge to access a suspect’s premises,” Gordon wrote. “Here the government disrupted the Internet service to the defendant’s hotel room in order to generate a repair call. Government agents then posed as repairmen to gain access to the defendant’s room and conduct a surreptitious search for evidence of an illegal sports betting operation.

Hey Senile/Coward//Liar Reid: Prove You Didn't get Beat Up
Senile/Pathetic/Coward/Liar Reid denies he was beat up when he got injured around New Years Day, 2015.

So, Coward Reid, prove you got hurt by some play equipment.
Release the daily log of the Capitol Police, the one's who guard Senile Harry and drove him to the hospital.
Release your medical records from the incident.
Release the investigative report by the Capitol Police on the incident. When the former Majority Leader of the Senate is seriously hurt, no matter the cause, there should have been an investigation of some kind, with photo evidence.

"Some time between 10:00 and 11:30 p.m., a man entered the meeting. His appearance was striking: there was blood on his clothing, beginning around his midsection. His left hand was swollen. He appeared to be somewhat intoxicated and was visibly agitated," and he wanted to share, at this AA meeting.
"He introduced himself as 'Larry.' In a group discussion that was heard by a number of people, Larry said that he had just had a fight with a family member. Larry said he had been at a family get-together, and he didn’t remember much about the fight because he had blacked out. They all did agree that it was obvious he had indeed been in a fight, but they thought the Secret Service was tinfoil hat type stuff.
So this guy, Larry, "stayed for the rest of the meeting, and for a while afterward. There is a front room where coffee is served, and he remained there for a while. At some point during that time, he asked whether anyone could give him a ride to Searchlight. Larry’s appearance at the AA meeting was memorable, as references to fighting, bloody clothes and so on are extraordinary in that group." It's not something that happens at every AA meeting.

Then everybody said, "Whoa, wait a minute! The guy who came in here who we thought was a kook is Harry Reid's brother?" So they started putting two and two together because this story's accompanied by a photograph. I've been the first one saying that Reid is lying about his injuries.
If he truly was injured by some play equipment, then the Capitol Police would have no problem calling an ambulance, especially considering the very serious injuries Senile Reid suffered.
But the U.S. Capitol Police and Senile Reid did not want an investigation by the ambulance or the local cops because something else happened, like Coward Reid being beat up.
So, please LVRJ and John Smith, the local political reporter or Jon Ralston, who is supposed to be a political watchdog in Nevada, please investigate the lying Liar Harry Reid. It cannot that tough to do.

Bucks Make The Playoffs
My favorite team in the NBA, the Milwaukee Bucks have made the playoffs, 1 year removed after a disastrous 2013-14 season.
The Bucks are in the playoffs and will face the Chicago Bulls in the first round of the playoffs.
Look for the Bucks, who won 40 games this year and only 15 games last year, to take a few games from the Bulls though I doubt they will take the series.
So, congrats to the Bucks for a really good season, for Milwaukee, and let's see what they do in the playoffs.
Hillary Lies Again

My guess it is a democrat because if it was a GOP candidate, they would have waited until 2016 and closer to the election to spring the news.
Right now, whoever leaked the story to BuzzFeed, thinks there should be a primary race for the Democrats.
My guess it is either O'Malley or Joe Biden, who just got stiffed by Clinton and Obama.

Well, Reid Is Right About 1 Thing

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, who recently announced plans to retire, rebutted conservative media speculation on Wednesday that his severe injuries are the result of a run-in with the mob.
On CNBC's "Speakeasy," host John Harwood asked Reid about theories put forth by conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh and Breitbart News that the injuries Reid sustained at the beginning of this year, including a blow to his right eye, are not, as he has said, the result of an accident involving elastic exercise equipment.
"The last few days, a bunch of people are saying, Reid, he didn't have an exercise accident, he got beat up by the mob," Harwood said.
It shows the credibility of Rush Limbaugh, he's the guy that got all this started," Reid replied. "Why in the world would I come up with a story that I got hurt in my own bathroom with my wife standing there? How could anyone say anything like that? And I think a lot of people, as I read, they kind of don't like me as a person and I think that's unfortunate."

Well, Senile/coward/Liar Reid is right about 1 thing, these charges are made by people who don't like Reid as a person and I am in that category.
I am 99.9% sure Reid is lying and is covering up what happened. I don't know if he got beat up or not but something other than an exercise happened.
My evidence: Reid suffered major injuries and he should have been taken to the hospital by ambulance. His securitygoons squad transported him to the hospital themselves, which could have made Reid's injuries even worse.
Why didn't they call an ambulance?
Because then an ambulance report would have been made and the truth may have come out.
Instead, they risked Reid's health and took him to the hospital in an SUV.
Finally, Reid did not say in the article that the accident actually did happen the way he said it did. He just ripped Limbaugh and others and asked why he would he make it up. He never said the alleged accident actually did happen.
So, to Senile Reid, man up and tell us what really happened because you are lying.
Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, who recently announced plans to retire, rebutted conservative media speculation on Wednesday that his severe injuries are the result of a run-in with the mob.
On CNBC's "Speakeasy," host John Harwood asked Reid about theories put forth by conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh and Breitbart News that the injuries Reid sustained at the beginning of this year, including a blow to his right eye, are not, as he has said, the result of an accident involving elastic exercise equipment.
"The last few days, a bunch of people are saying, Reid, he didn't have an exercise accident, he got beat up by the mob," Harwood said.
It shows the credibility of Rush Limbaugh, he's the guy that got all this started," Reid replied. "Why in the world would I come up with a story that I got hurt in my own bathroom with my wife standing there? How could anyone say anything like that? And I think a lot of people, as I read, they kind of don't like me as a person and I think that's unfortunate."

Another Liberal City, More Murders Of Black People
From jsonline, Milwaukee: Milwaukee police were called to a homicide on Tuesday afternoon — the sixth recorded in the city since Sunday.
The killing on Tuesday afternoon brings the city's homicide total to at least 42, compared with 14 as of the same week last year.
The death at N. 28th and W. Melvina streets on Tuesday was suspicious and initial reports indicated it was a homicide, according to the Milwaukee County medical examiner's office.
Milwaukee police reported a shooting in the area about 2 p.m. No additional details have been released.
Earlier in the day, a 24-year-old man was stabbed to death in a domestic violence incident and a 30-year-old woman was arrested in his slaying, police said. Milwaukee is a liberal city, which is poor, except in only a few areas.
The city, where I used to live, used to be fairly conservative, but with school busing, white flight occurred out of the city and the city was taken over by minorities and liberals who occupy the east side of Milwaukee.
Now, the city is run by liberals. You have a mayor is more concerned about a trolley through downtown, the police chief is concerned about illegal guns and crime figures that are exaggerated and worried about firing a cop who killed a black man after the black man attacked the officer and other liberal ideas that destroy other cities.
So, now, the thugs have taken over Milwaukee and especially black thugs, with most of the murder victims being Black.
So, another liberal city, where Black lives really don't matter, especially when black thugs kill other Black citizens.

How Windy Was It Today?
Today, it was very windy in Northern Arizona and much of the desert Southwest and West. We had winds of 50 mph or more in our area.
But it was so windy, at the elementary school I worked at, 2 kindergarten kids were swept up in the winds and were last seen flying through the air, going down Historic Hwy 66, towards Peach Springs.
Yeah, I'll keep my day job... no I'm not but more on that later.
Educators Gone Bad...But This Much Prison Time?
From the Las Vegas Sun: All but one of 10 former Atlanta public school educators convicted in a widespread conspiracy to inflate student scores on standardized tests were sentenced to jail time Tuesday, and the judge called the cheating scandal "the sickest thing that's ever happened in this town."
Despite their lawyers' pleas for probation and community service, the remaining eight received harsher sentences, ranging from one to seven years in jail. They are expected to appeal and will be free on bond while the appeals are pending.
A state investigation found that as far back as 2005, educators from the 50,000-student Atlanta school system fed answers to students or erased and changed answers on tests after they were turned in. Evidence of cheating was found in 44 schools with nearly 180 educators involved, and teachers who tried to report it were threatened with retaliation.
In 2013, 35 educators were indicted on charges including racketeering, making false statements and theft. Many pleaded guilty before the trial, and some testified at the monthslong trial. The jury acquitted one of the 12 former educators who went to trial and convicted the other 11 of racketeering...
For them, Baxter went above prosecutors' recommendations of three years imprisonment. He ordered them to serve seven years in prison with the remainder of a 20-year sentence on probation, 2,000 hours of community service and a $25,000 fine.
During sentencing, Baxter called the cheating "pervasive."
"It's like the sickest thing that's ever happened in this town," he said.

Ok, what these teachers did was bad and unethical.
But to go to prison for 7 years for the cheating seems to be a bit excessive, especially since they really didn't gain financially for the cheating and violent criminals and bank robbers also receive less prison time. Further, with Obama and his treatment of illegals and letting people who knowingly break our laws, often many times over not only stay out of prison but are rewarded with citizenship, this punishment seems to be excessive.
And for the judges comment: "It's like the sickest thing that's ever happened in this town," he said., well, that seems to be a little crazy. How about all the murders in the Atlanta area, including the murders committed by Wayne Williams, when he killed around 28 young men/kids.
And then there was Mark Barton who killed 12 people and injured another 13 in 1999 in a 1 day killing spree.
So, the sickest that ever happened in Atlanta?
I doubt it.

Black Lives Matter: No They Don't

A gunman, apparently enraged that a van had struck a 2-year-old boy Sunday on Milwaukee's northwest side, not only "assassinated" the driver of the van — in the words of Mayor Tom Barrett — but cut down the toddler's brother, who had rushed to the scene.
Archie Brown Jr., 40, was driving the van about 5:10 p.m. Sunday in the 4600 block of N. 48th St., near Wahl Park, when he hit 2-year-old Damani T. Terry, who had darted into the road, according to Milwaukee police.
Brown immediately jumped out and — by all accounts — was grieving and upset as he stood over the body. Rasheed T. Chiles, 15, who had been attending a party at a nearby house with his toddler brother, was at the scene as well.
A gunman shot and killed Brown, according to police.
"Someone got angry," Barrett said. "Someone took a gun and basically assassinated this gentleman."
Chiles also was hit, according to Barrett, and died during surgery Sunday night.
Milwaukee police continued on Monday to work on identifying the shooting suspect.
In the late afternoon, Attorney Michael Hupy offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who pulled the trigger. An upset Hupy said it was the fourth time he has offered a personal reward in a murder case.
Monday's shooting death has brought the city's homicide total to 40 for the year, up from 14 at the same time last year. Many of the victims and suspects knew each other and most of the victims — at least 31 — were African-American, Barrett said.

All the victims in this sad case are Black.
But the no snitch policy in Milwaukee is alive and strong as the cops still has not arrested anyone in the shootings.
There were witnesses to the shooting and there are people who know who the shooter is but they won't give up the shooter.
So, if all Black lives matter, why isn't there national outrage that two innocent Black people were murdered in cold blood with people know who the shooter is and no one is coming forward?
So, to the tools and fools, along with the racist brothers of Barack, Eric, Jesse and Al, why are you not taking a stand on this?
Because to them, when a Black thug kills a Black person, it is acceptable and no big deal, except maybe to the immediate family.
