Assembly Shames Nevada

The Nevada Assembly shamed Nevada today as they voted to give transgendered people the same employment rights as anyone else.
For the record, I do feel for some transgendered people- they feel they like they are male when they are female and vice versa. I am sure it is tough to deal with.
However, there limits an employer should have to go through.
What happens if you have a kindergarten teacher who is a male and dresses like a female? How do you explain that to the 5 year old. How about Hooters who hire a female who then decides to dress like a man? According to the Nevada Assembly, they are protected from employment discrimination.
They have other bills pending in the Nevada Senate- prohibition of housing discrimination of the transgendered- good, pass that bill. Making a hate crime because the victim is transgendered- no don't pass that because I am against any kind of hate crime law. A crime is a crime, no matter who it is.
But passing a law protecting transgendered people in employment is wrong. I'm sorry, but if a transgendered person cannot dress in their real sex for 8 hours a day, then I'm sorry, while I may have sympathy for them, I don't think employers should be held liable for discrimination against them. A business has to be able to operate without having to worry about being liable if a person decides to change their appearance after the job interview. What happens if Max comes in dressed as a man, gets hired as a man and then says he really feels like a woman and wants to dress as one. That's just not fair.
So, shame to the Nevada Assembly for passing this bill and I hope it dies in the Senate or Governor Sandoval vetoes the bill.
