Gingrich On The Occupiers

Even though Newt Gingrich is the latest crazy flavor of the GOP presidential circus. and probably has little chance to win the GOP nomination or the presidency. But that still doesn't mean he doesn't know what he is talking about.
From the Huffington Post: Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich mocked the Occupy Wall Street protesters on Saturday, saying they need to "get a job" and "take a bath."
"All the Occupy movement starts with the premise that
we all owe them everything," Gingrich said at the Thanksgiving Family Forum in Iowa, as noted by Igor Volsky at ThinkProgress. "They take over a public park they didn't pay for, to go nearby to use bathrooms they didn't pay for, to beg for food from places they don't want to pay for, to obstruct those who are going to work to pay the taxes to sustain the bathrooms and to sustain the park, so they can self-righteously explain they are the paragons of virtue to which we owe everything."
"That is a pretty good symptom of how much the left has collapsed as a moral system in this country, and why you need to reassert something by saying to them, 'Go get a job right after you take a bath,'" continued Gingrich, to loud applause from the audience.

The Occupy Movement has a lot of momentum, not because of their issues, so of which are legitimate, but because of their tactics, many of their beliefs and their behavior. With the exception of a few small town mayors, they have little support from politicians and probably 99% of the people. The Occupiers are really the 1%, the despicable 1%.

  1. 'Go get a job* right after you take a bath,'

    * - To "get a job", you must have a perfect work history with no gaps, but no more than x number of jobs in the past x years, you must submit to a background check, a drug test, a personality test, a credit check which must be clear, you must be willing to accept a wage that can not possibly pay expenses and pay back any loans you have taken out at the same time, you must have at least five years of experience, a college degree, and these certifications, but don't worry about putting all of that to use because it is entry level, oh, and you MUST be currently employed too.

  2. That's a bunch of bull crap. Yes, you may have to start at the bottom working at a 7-11 and then work your way up. No one is just going to give you a job, unless you have a speciality. No one is going to gie you a managers job without working as a peon.
Just because you have a degree doesn't gurantee you a job. You have to work at it. That's called reality.
