It rained again in Vegas today. So far this year, we have had more rain than last year with more to come. Today, we had thunderstorms with very heavy rain for about an hour. The water canals worked as they should, as the canals that I observed were almost overflowing their banks. Of course, we won't get sympathy from the rest of the country as the East Coast digs out of a blizzard and the rest of the country shivering.

How's the level of Lake Mead looking? Is all this extra rain making a noticeable difference?

ReplyDeleteAntedotal evidence suggests that Lake Mead has risen. First, because of the rain and also there are fewer residents living in Vegas. Then you have people acutally conserving water by not watering gas but changing their land to a desert landscape.
