How Close Are We To Nationalized Education?

Now that Obama has pretty much taken over many businesses and industries, such as banking, student loans, car companies, health care and with their sights set on other industries such as oil, coal and energy in general, unless it is green energy.
So, how soon before we see the Fed's try to take complete control over our K-12 education system.
Well, they have a lot of control now. With No Child Left Behind (Bush) and Race To the Top (Obama), they control over much of what happens in the classroom. They mandate that much of the emphasis is placed on math, English, science and reading. Foreign language is almost mandated. Electives are almost unheard in CCSD, with the exception of music, drama, computers, art and food education. Magnet Schools also have different curriculum. Some schools have different electives.
The Fed's demand mandates, and most of the time, the mandates are either non-funded or partially funded. Special education, ELL and education of illegals are some of the mandates.
Now, with this latest, $26 billion bill that fund new teachers positions (not supplies, not pay existing teachers) it creates new havoc to the education system. These positions will be funded for 1 year only. CCSD and other school districts and also States have snapped this money up, thinking of today and forgetting about tomorrow. So, CCSD may hire up to 1400 new teachers and then next year- then what?
Many school districts around the country are hurting financially. Because of increased costs- salaries, health care, increase of supplies, mandates from the Feds and the States will make districts and States hard pressed to maintain the same budget next year. So, next year, the states and school districts will come hat in hand tot he Feds demanding another bail out "for the children". And the feds will be glad to pay off the debts that the Feds created. And this cycle will continue for another year and then another year after that.
And then the states are caught. They have hired so many teachers and they can't afford them. after telling the school districts to hire the teachers, then the Fed's may order what tests the kids have to take each year. If your students pass the test, then you get more Federal funding. From there, they will demand to set the curriculum in certain courses like math, reading and science. Follow the federal curriculum, get more federal money.
So, how soon will it before the Fed's say we'll take over each State's Department of Education? The Fed's will say it will reduce costs, streamline education and become more efficient. Just like Obama Care and the student loan program. It is not out of the realm of possibility that one of the conditions of further State aid will be to eliminate the state's department of education departments because the Fed's will be dictating almost everything schools do. It is getting closer each day.
And when that happens, watch out local school districts. We will soon see federal employees overseeing the local school districts if they want federal aid.
