If Only It Was True

From the New York Daily News:
Hackers broke into the Associated Press’s Twitter account Tuesday and fired off a tweet that terrified the nation from Pennsylvania Avenue to Wall Street.
“Breaking: Two Explosions in the White House and Barack Obama is injured,” read the bogus post, which exploded into the media-verse around 1 p.m.
Seconds later, the Dow Jones industrial average plunged more than 128 points and President Obama’s spokesman was forced to reassure reporters that the president was all right and the report was false.....
“A tweet about an attack at the White House is false,” the AP statement said. “We will advise on acct. status."

Oh well, I guess, in the end, it would not be a good thing if the White House was attacked.  After all, all the decorations, the marble, the historic sights would have been hard to replace.
