With the 4th of July just around the corner, people are looking for fireworks.
In Clark County, in the Las Vegas Valley, you cannot buy the big and exploding fireworks. You can buy some small fireworks that emits flames, sparklers, snakes and a few other things.
But those fireworks are pretty lame.
To get loud, bright and high flying fireworks, you find fireworks outside the Valley, but you have to drive a little distance.
The biggest place to go to is in Pahrump. It's about 60 miles from Vegas and you take Hwy 160 (Blue Diamond Rd in Vegas) and there are several stores in Pahrump.
If you up Hwy 95, go to Armargosa Valley, about 60 miles from the Valley and past Indian Springs., there is a small seller of fireworks. Strangely, this store is owned by a brothel owner, so who knows what or who will be in the store.
In Moapa, and the Paiute Indian Reservation, north of Vegas on I-15, they also sell fireworks.
Now the catch is that legally, you cannot fire these fireworks in Clark County. If you are caught, you could face a fine and confiscation of the fireworks. There are rumors that cops sit outside of Nye County, and stop people coming from Pahrump on minor traffic charges and search for fireworks.... So be careful.
If you do go to these places, be prepared to spend big money on the fireworks, they are not cheap.
And be careful if you buy these fireworks so you don't hurt yourself or others.
