Why Obama Will Lose Florida

In the November elections, Florida is one of the swing states and chances are that whoever wins Florida, will only win it by a few thousand votes or less.
One reason why President Obama will lose Florida is the ending of the Shuttle program that laid off thousands of workers.
From Fox News: A year after NASA ended the three-decade-long U.S. space shuttle program, thousands of formerly well-paid engineers and other workers around the Kennedy Space Center are still struggling to find jobs to replace the careers that flourished when shuttles blasted off from the Florida "Space Coast."...
More than 7,400 people, who once had labored on one of history's most complicated engineering achievements, lost their jobs when the shuttle program ended last July. While other shuttle workers in Houston, New Orleans and Huntsville, Ala., lost jobs, those areas had bigger economies to absorb the workers. In less economically diverse Brevard County, the mainly contractor positions cut by NASA accounted for just under 5 percent of the county's private sectors jobs.
Most of those 7400 employees and many of the other workers still left at the Kennedy space Center will not vote for Obama.because of all the layoffs and this could be enough to Mitt Romney the win in Florida.

  1. Are they too dumb to realize that the end of the shuttle was decided under Bush, and only carried out under Obama?

  2. I don't think they are stupid and you are correct about the thought of abandoning started in the Bush administration, but Obama could have saved it if he wanted to, but he chose not to.

  3. The real reason Obama will lose Florida (and Pennsylvania) is because there has been a Right Wing resurgence against privacy and reproductive rights, couples with a strong desire to vote Obama from office. Plus, both states have been aggressive in flushing legitimate people from their voting rolls. If Obama loses Florida, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Ohio, then Romney wins.
